The back up kicker ::)
Nope, key people....I'm not gonna say our best players, but they are starters and key
Doesn't matter if Chambers is out, Dayton is three deep at qb. They just plug people in 'cause that's what they do. Their backup qb is better anyway. They are going to hold y'all to half of your lowest point total of the season becasue their defense is salty. They're going to score more points on you than anybody since South Houston too. If I were you I would tell Sharp no to show up, he has no chance in Bronco Stadium.
standard post from you.... You're a bitter man.  :'( :'( Gotta give it to you though, the Cougar pic you got me to post was funny.  You got me with that one. 8)
We play Porter this week. . . . . I have nothing better to do until the Ozen track meet.
that walk was longer for you going back than it was coming in I imagine...all in good fun, coog, all in good fun
I'm sure it wasn't as bad as the two walks after those playoff losses.
 4. Summer Creek, how many fans do you think you will put in the stands at Dayton? Visitors side holds about 1500 with the band. I know y'all didn't pack the stands at the Crosby game and we're right down the beltway. I'm going to come to the game since we play in Porter but wanted to make sure y'all will have some seats on your side.

Turner (Humble) 2. PNG                          2. Barbers Hill 3. Nederland                  3. Dayton 4. Lumberton                  4. C.E. King 5. Vidor                        5. Crosby 6. Livingston                  6.  New Caney Overall: 1. Turner 2. Butch 3. PNG 4. Barbers Hill 5. Dayton 6. Nederland
Turner and NCISD blow the others away in 19-4a. King is nice since they've redone it and it's old with cement bleachers but easy to access like NCISD and Turner. BH is real nice but small for any team they play with a good following.
 7.
Yea apparently they have some big school vs little school thing going on. It's like there are 2 big and 2 little schools in each division. Therefore the #1big goes against the #2big in each division and vice versa etc.......It just confused the heck out of me and is upsetting quite a few people from what i heard.
How else would you like them to do it? It's like that in any playoff system, #1 seed plays the lower ranked seeds. In our region the bi-districts are 17 vs 18, 19 vs 20, 21 vs 22, and 23 vs 24. Each district gets 4 in (2 big, 2 small) with the # 1 big playing the # 2 big from the neighboring district and vice versa, same for he small schools. Only way it could get more simple is to add a "real" 6a and make the classification numbers closer to each other.

I could see Sharp getting offered, but QB is a very low priority in 2014.
I don't think Kenny Hill will ever see the field and I don't think they will ever offer Murray at the qb position. Kohl Stewart is a bigger and more accurate version of Hill already, plus somewhere I read that Matt Davis was pushing Manziel for the job during the fall. I think Sharp will make the ESPNU 150 but not sure if he's going to get the offers of even a Nathan Dick due to the fact he's a southpaw and a little thin right now. Very accurate but the arm strength is still a toss up.
I though coaches loved Southpaws? And for as size Sharp is 6'3 183....the college will get him bigger. I don't think Kenny Hill will touch the field, neither will Matt Davis, they are not that good to me. I hear Hill will possibly go pro for baseball with Kolh....I honestly think Kohl will be the best fit for those outstanding wrs they are bringing in.
If coaches love southpaws it's because they're usually pretty accurate. I only say it causes problems because you have to switch playsides along with moving around the offensive line. Your left tackle is usually a taller, leaner pass blocker while the right side is usually the power tackle. Lefties have a reversed blind side and the ball spins the opposite way, it's not a big deal if the offense is set up for a southpaw but that's usually not the case. With how good he is though I don't think being a lefty will effect him that much. His issue is going to be more of weight and release point. I use the 25 pound rule, meaning you can expect a high school kid to gain 25 pounds in a normal college program. That put's Sharp at 208 which is plenty big enough but still kind of slight, Colt was about 205 and he was kind of small. Maybe he gets to 220 though. He reminds me a lot of Chris Leak when he came out, very accurate and mobile but a little slight. I think he's going to be a legitimate 6'3" at least but he's got to stop releasing the ball 6" off his shoulder pads. He almost pushes it out there which is going to cause batted balls when you start throwing over 6'6" linemen. His release needs to be 6" over the top of his helment as to utilize his height. This is knit-picking but that's what recruiters do, I'm just giving reasons why the most productive qb in the region only has a UTEP offer. He has a bunch of games left to play though so I'm sure he'll work on some of these things and when he lines them out I'm certian the Big 12 and SEC will come calling. And also, what are his grades like?

I hear Hill will possibly go pro for baseball with Kolh....I honestly think Kohl will be the best fit for those outstanding wrs they are bringing in.
Lots of misinformed people in this conversation: A) Manziel is not a head case. He made a mistake one night, but has moved on and learned from it. Kingsbury said he's been a model citizen, and Sumlin said it was out of character. I've met him once, he's a very nice guy. B) Matt Davis was a distant 4th in the QB race. He was never close to pushing for the job. He will either change positions, transfer, or try to start for one season if he wants to play. Personally, I think he moves to safety down the line.C) Kohl has been projected by some as a top 10 pick in the MLB. I don't see him passing that up just to sit behind Manziel. He's got a lot of arm strength, but I question his decision making and lack of productivity against terrible competition. Personally, I think he goes MLB and becomes a very good pitcher. D) Kenny Hill is very Manziel-like because he is anything but conventional, but he is a winner and consistently produces. He is the guy that this staff went after. Stewart was a Sherman commit that they honored. Sumlin's staff went after Hill on their own. I believe he is their guy. He is not an MLB risk. Personally, I see Kenny being Johnny's successor. E) Sharp is a very good QB and could be A&M's 2014 guy if A&M chooses him. Aggies can pretty much handpick who, if anybody, they want to be their QB in the 2014 class. Personally, he is my favorite TX QB in the 2014 class. F) Kyler Murray has a very good chance of being offered. He is an Aggie legacy, and Sumlin told him personally that they'd be coming after him. His only knock is height, but he's only 15 years old and is likely to grow to 6'0" or 6'1". That would be plenty tall enough. A&M is already his leader, and if he doesn't grow then I'm sure they'd be glad to take him as a slot. Personally, I think he hits the 6 foot mark and takes over from Hill when he graduates.
My fault on saying Matt Davis, I meant Jameil Showers, I was thinking Davis was the sophomore. This is one of the articles I was reading a few months ago while I was checking on Davis status. [Hidden Content] As far as Murray goes you are absolutely delusional if you think Sumlin is doing anything other than appeasing an ex-player/booster's son to make a good impression. I doubt any coach's first order of business at and SEC program is to start recruiting a 5'10" sophomore qb, who MIGHT grow some and IF he does then MAYBE they think his production over the next two years warrants a scholarship. Before they got to the SEC A&M didn't get whoever they wanted, they got the leftovers from Texas and the rest of the SEC. Now doing things like flipping Thomas Johnson and most likely picking up Seals-Jones points more towards A&M getting who they want, look at the recruiting classes from the past decade and you will see that's far from the truth. Nearly every player on Texas roster has an offer from A&M, not a whole lot from A&M have Texas offers. For example, Texas only has 5 or 6 out of state offers right now while A&M probably has 25. That means Texas is truly hand picking vs reaching. Kevin Sumlin is recruiting prototypes now, not more Manziel's. Even though Sumlin turned Manziel into JFF I would be willing to bet he wants another 6'4" 225 lbs drop-back passer with a rocket arm (Ryan Tannehill). It was a down year for qbs in the state when JFF came out, Texas got the number one as they usually do (David Ash) and A&M picked up # 2 who was Manziel and didn't garner a single SEC offer which is unheard of for the second rated qb in Texas. Mike Sherman recruited an undersized Tannehill, Sumlin is looking for a bigger and stronger Tannehill, not an undersized Manziel.

Dayton can probably hold 8k + but the visitor's side can get tight, home side looks like it will hold 6k by itself. BH and Dayton are good neutral playoff sights for 3a and under games.

We put up 1429 yards on the three other playoff teams and went 1-2. Need some breaks on turnovers and penalties. We barely ran for 100 yards on SC and nobody else in the district could hold us under 250. We threw for 337 because we couldn't run, not 'cause they can't defend the pass. Dayton's offense better make sure they can establish one or the other.

Then I saw the stats in the paper the next day and saw McCann had 283 on 9 carries and like 5 tds. Vickers was a junior leading the way at fullback. Best football speed I had seen on the high school level since the time Freeman went for almost 400.
how does 19-4A have a better chance of beating 20-4A in D1? What facts are you basing your statement on?
That Vidor has won two playoff games since they fired those shots on the grassy knoll. I guess since y'all are new to the playoffs you don't realize you don't get to make it out of the first round every year. Your coach went 8-2 and they gave him the coach of the year award, that should let you know what people think of your program. Like y'all like to say when someone brings up the past, "this is a new year." So I'll see your "we beat y'all last year" and raise you "win another one this year". Three years from now after you still have those same two playoff wins since the LBJ era, you'll still be saying "at least we beat Crosby three years ago". Hey though, if I was the laughing stock of the region for a half century I would just get in where I fit in too.
Man i bet you have nightmares about that loss last year. What have you got against Vidor cuz everytime i post something about anything to do with playoffs or Vidor you always bring up the "second win since LBJ era" and the "loss last year". Go ahead and look man cuz i already did. Noone said anything about the crosby loss or the vidor crosby game last year. Your the first. Just let it go man. Step away from the ledge lmao.
Yeah they are... Last year at Lamar on the Coogs side... They keep saying I cannot believe that a bunch of white boys running the ball beat us!!!!
Have you gotten a promotion from the concession stand yet? I would hate for you to get mustard on your phone while you're trying to post. Just make sure my chili is hot on my nachos this year. I'll even let you listen to "Dixie" while you get my cheese from the crockpot.
Well i played in '09 then played for lamar so i know football and i usually just get on here and read but am tired of people talking about the past. I guess I have to post a lot to know what I'm talking about.
Yeah, your 22 at the most though and probably only played two years or you would still be on scholarship. I played all four and was offered coaching/g.a. jobs and Vidor fans still tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, one even told me the slot-t was a style offense and not a formation. I know y'all are new to not sucking but if y'all plan on winning a few more games you should get used to it, there's going to be a lot more "you don't know what you're talking about." Just part of not being Lumberton or Porter.

Probably the only game in Texas this week featuring two unbeaten state ranked teams will happen at Bronco Stadium. Both defenses might have an edge on the offenses. Which defense will create the most mayhem? Check back Thursday for the.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION I am beginning to wonder if this guy purposely puts inaccurate info just to have folks critique it. ::) If my memory serves me correctly, Barbers Hill beat Dayton last year in district play. ;)
Forgot a key word....  HOME district game.  Thanks for the correction!  Wish I had an editor.  I really can't remember the last time Dayton lost a home district game.  Don't think it has happened in this century.
Forest Brook back in I think '01 or '02.  It's the year they won District and had at least 2 future NFL players on the team.
2000. They were ranked 6th when we played them. The other thread got a little racial, I didn't, but if the shoe fits, then wear it. I have read your past posts and realize that you don't know squat about football, but you love to flap those gums.
When you insult someone's intelegents make sure you spell it right yourself.
I think he was being sarcastic. ???
He must be sarcastic on about half his post then. Intellect is spelled that way so I'm sure he thought intelegents was similar. I'm sure he was playing about therefor too. It's cool to misspell stuff, but don't try to crack on someone's intelligence when you make it clear that high school was a struggle. Bak aun topik thow, SC by a touchdown whatever the teams mangage to score.
