bullets13 got a reaction from thetragichippy in When It Makes Saturday Night Live...
When kbmt12 originally reported this, they had a pretty ridiculous typo in the first sentence of the report, which I found quite ironic. I have to figure out how to post pics with the new setup and I'll post a screenshot. -

You guys that totally discount enrollment numbers are bad at math. Specifically I invite you to study the laws of probabilities. Since you probably won't, I will give you an example to which you can relate.
Indiana is an example of a state that for a long time had a state tournament in basketball that combined all classifications. I am sure most of you saw the movie Hoosiers. There is a reason that team, out of Milan, Indiana, was a Cinderella story. Because that almost NEVER happens. And that is a sport that requires only 5 (not 11) guys, and you don't separate offense and defense. Check the history of that tournament and see how many lower classification teams won.
I get that only 11 kids can be on the field at one time. And I get your argument about Plano, Buddy. But put Plano, or Katy High, or SA Judson, in 4A DII and see how they fare. C'mon guys, to ignore enrollment numbers altogether is nothing more than idiocy. -
bullets13 reacted to ECFAN#1 in Hardin-Jefferson @ Tatum
Shooooooooooo he may seek his people and let us in the know all about football. I'll give you a short cut. WOS would smoke Tatum.

bullets13 got a reaction from HJ85 in Hardin-Jefferson @ Tatum
This is the same tatum team that just lost to chapel hill, right? the chapel hill team that was 1-3 coming into the game and absolutely got smashed by PNG 53-20? That lost to WOS, a team some of yall are saying would lose if they played tatum? It's a lot of dots to connect, but still. -
bullets13 got a reaction from HJ85 in Hardin-Jefferson @ Tatum
And the chapel hill result? I don't know much about them, I'm not being snarky. I know chapel hill got destroyed by PNG, and also lost to whitehouse and lindale, and I know lindales record sucks, so I would think tatum should beat chapel hill by a lot? Correct me if I'm wrong, i REALLY don't keep up with east texas football -
bullets13 got a reaction from Big girl in U.S. Attorney General Holder to resign
only conservative Christians and those who share their viewpoints love 'Murica. Yeah, I get it. But seriously, too often conservative Christians confuse conservative Christian values with "American values". Sorry, but the two are not exclusively linked. -

Huh? This really doesn't make sense to me. A) your analogy would make it seem that our country was in perfect shape when Obama came into office, which it was not (I'd have a hard time saying it was even in decent shape). B ) your analogy would make it seem that our country is in terrible shape now, which again it isn't. I don't think Obama has been good for our country, but that doesn't change the fact that things weren't good already when he took over, or the fact that all of the predictions that he was going to destroy our country aren't accurate either. -

Congrats to HJ on the convincing win. Y'all are the real deal. Best of luck the remainder of the season.

I know, I know, Center was good until they played HJ because HJ just isn't very good.
Way to go Hawks! -

Center completes a pass to the 1 on 4th down. End of the 1st, hawks lead 14-0 -
bullets13 got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in U.S. Attorney General Holder to resign
and all that being said in the previous post, you're still doing what the original poster did... giving WAY too much credit to how things were when Obama took over, and being way too overdramatic about how bad things actually are now. -
bullets13 got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in U.S. Attorney General Holder to resign
He made an allusion that implied that the country was perfect at the start of Obama's presidency, and is now a barren wasteland. My point in its entirety being that neither one of these is anywhere close to accurate. -

you were there and know the true story? if not, then explain how you know it was an inaccurate headline, and also how you know she's using sexual orientation to gain leverage in a money grab. I'm not saying you're wrong, just curious how you seem to know so much about the situation. -

I have no issues with marijuana being legalized, as it's no worse than alcohol. But I do have a problem with it being bought with food stamps, loophole or not. -
bullets13 got a reaction from BlackShirts5 in Jerry Jones Drafting Michael Sam
Shovel is right about Sam being undersized for his position, but he's a very talented player. Jerry may have had some ulterior motives in picking him up, but realistically Sam is likely good enough to play for the Cowboys this year, and the position he plays fits into their general defensive scheme. I personally don't care what his sexual orientation is, nor do I care that he chose to tell the world. As long as his play on the field is judged by his ability, he'll be given a fair shake. if he can't cut it, then he shouldn't be given extra chances because he's gay. on the flipside of that, if he can cut it, he shouldn't be given less chances because he's gay. we'll see what happens.

bullets13 got a reaction from Mr. Buddy Garrity in If Sam doesn't make a team....Get ready for it.....
I think that most people understand that a very high percentage (proportional to the general population) of professional female athletes are gay. It's not a shock when we find out that another one is.

The problem is not that the busses have been cut, but that the money was spent to provide them to begin with. Most districts do not provide these services. My mom was a single mother who worked nights, but I never missed an afterschool basketball practice, and I never got stuck at school without a ride home, despite the fact that I lived a good ten miles from my middle school and 7 or 8 from my high school. family and the community should be able to make it work for a kid. there's no reason, especially in Beaumont where most kids live reasonably close to their school, that a teammate or teammate's parent can't get another kid home after a game or practice.

bullets13 reacted to westend1 in If Sam doesn't make a team....Get ready for it.....
The guy was all SEC. He had a decent preseason and he costs next to nothing. Dallas defense sucks. Why does it have to be more than that?
-
bullets13 got a reaction from Big girl in If Sam doesn't make a team....Get ready for it.....
To be fair, Sam did better in preseason (pretty decent) than Tebow did at any time in his pro career. to be even fairer, Tebow fans imagined most of the criticism he took for expressing his Christian views. there were a few people who complained, but the majority of people who said he was criticized for his Christianity actually ignored the fact that he sucked. Then when people said he sucked, they blamed the criticism on his Christianity, rather than the fact that he was a terrible QB.
I will say that I agree that Sam is getting way too much media coverage for a player that was cut from the roster and can't even find a practice team, but like it or not, he's not an ordinary player, and the interest in his career is well above average. he's getting more attention than he deserves (not unlike Tebow) because he lives a lifestyle much different from the average NFL player (not unlike Tebow).

Sure does. But when I cut my back field, it doesn't mean I'm working my job.
