doesn't bother me too much.  the rest of the angels' offense is pretty much going to suck, and they aren't going to have much money to pick up anyone else.  as for losing wilson, that does sting a bit, but look at it this way:  the rangers' entire rotation is solid, and Feliz is going to be moving into it this season.  also, wilson became the first pitcher in history to lose a game in a division series, championship series, and world series all in the same year, and he also was the losing pitcher in the all-star game.  he might be pretty good in the regular season, but he sucks in the post season.  also, his price was super-inflated because there were no other really good pitchers out on the market.  I have a feeling the angels will eventually be regretting BOTH of the big contracts they signed today.

the hawks offense wasn't overly impressive tonight, but their defense is tough.  this is the fastest hawk team i can remember in recent years.  most of lcm's shot attempts were taken in almost self-defense.  prudhomme didn't play a lot tonight.  got his first foul called in the 1st quarter on a bad call, and got a tech about 3 seconds later.  played most of the 2nd quarter, then some of the 3rd, picking up 2 more fouls and did not play the 4th.  in playing maybe half the game it didn't seem like he did much until i did some figuring and realized he had probably 15 points, 6 or 7 boards, 3 or 4 steals, and 3 or 4 assists.  Even not playing that well, it's easy to tell that this hawk team is VERY good.  tough to complain when your team beats a 4A team by 21 and don't look all that good doing it.

yup, when he went down a stroke after 16, the past couple of years he would've been done.  not yesterday.  back to back birdies to win by one.  that's got to be scary for the rest of the tour.

Paul won't agree to sign longterm with the celts because all of their stars are within a year or two or three of retirement.  if he won't agree to sign longterm, the celts won't trade anything for him.

If Silsbee and HJ both stay undefeated, i'm going to have to start voting for Co #1s until one of them lose.  they've both beaten the best teams in the area at this point.

in East Texas i saw a buck tailing a doe this past Friday, and Sunday, after a heavy rain the night before, my dad found a fresh scrape.  Our lease burned, though, so i don't really know if our rut has been messed up out there because the does were stressed.

had about 10 hogs come into my feeder right at dark.  i hit one, but it was tough to tell what i was hitting, and they ran 10 different directions, so i didn't even know where to start tracking.  no big loss, i suppose.
