1. I wish i could.  I have a soccer tourney the 9th, and will likely be out of town until the 17th or 18th.  but if i get back in time i'll check in with you and see if you have some spots for those later days
2. it seems like every year since the last time we had an above average season they've been predicting another one.  i hope it continues the way it's been going and we avoid any major storms.
3.
Hey all you right-wing gun nuts.  I just traded for a Walther ppk/s by Interarms,  .380.  Too small for my purposes.  First time pistol owner and I think I got the wrong thing, as I don't plan on carrying it around in my pocket, and the missing skin on my thumb is proof I need something larger.  Anybody got anything they want to trade?
i would consider it, but i actually just got a Sig p-238 .380 a few months ago.
4. [img][Hidden Content] out for a couple of hours last night.  would've been much better, but right when we got in a big school of fish we had to go pick our buddy up at the ramp, and when we came back they'd scattered out.
5. Would love for the rangers to take at least 2 of 3.  the As are a scarier team to me than the angels.  the angels have no pitching anymore.  the As have the pitchers, defense, and young batters to get on a roll, just like last year.  the further we can get ahead of them early on, the better.
6.
[img][Hidden Content]] caught this one late yesterday evening on rayburn. all together we caught close to 30 but most were small. only 7 keepers. the one in the pic was right at 8 lbs. I returned her back to the lake. she was fun to catch.
would've liked to see what that one weighed a month and a half ago.  she's got that kinda saggy look of a big bass that's recently layed a bunch of eggs.  bet she wouldve been close to 10 if you'd caught her full of them.
7. we had to work for them, but had 9 over 20 inches and also threw back 4 or 5 keeper redfish.

9. Texas Roach and any assortment of cocahoes that in the least are colored like a shrimp. Hard bait is a mirrodine
yuck, i tried that in Alaska  :'(
wait, you didn't like it?  the best fish i've ever eaten was halibut that we cooked in alaska about 2 hours after we caught it.
maybe it was WHO cooked it that was the reason i didnt like it. I just never tried it again.
it's flaky, clean, and delicious.  it's a huge flounder.

12. [img][Hidden Content]] we had to work for them, but we found a few fish this weekend.  after we cleaned this mess we found a few more crappie, but just threw them in the fish basket to clean later so no picture.
13. it would be nice for the rangers to win a 4th straight series to start the season.  it's gonna be tough, though.  the M's are the favorite tonight with King Felix pitching against a rookie most people have never heard about.  if the Ms win tonight, it will be tough for the rangers to win 3 straight to take the series.
14. I forgot about halibut.
15. for sure.  too bad you couldn't have gotten into the bassmasters ;)
16.
So what is the best way to cook tilapia?
first step: trade it for a better fish. ;)
17. they're biting.

19. salt water it's flounder, mahi mahi, amberjack, grouper, snapper, and tripletail.  speckled trout is good, but not as good as the other ones mentioned.
20. WB advances 5-4 in a shootout after being tied 0-0 at the end of regulation and OT.  Big win for them.
21. Just watched the show on espn.  Pretty interesting.  Saw some things I've never seen on a bassmaster show before.  Anglers Getting excited about a 15-inch fish, video of anglers throwing back dinks, anglers throwing back redfish, and footage of them getting hung up.  Not the monster fish I'm used to seeing on there, but it made for an interesting change.  Kinda like a low scoring baseball game.  One every now and then is kinda cool to see.
22. Caught it in my buddy's pond.  Scale said 6-3, but it looked a lot bigger than a 5-12 I caught out of there last week.  I don't think it was a good reading.  We think more like 7 or 7 1/2.  I was rushing to get it back in the water and didn't want to waste time re-weighing it.
