  1. Alto wins 40-15
  2. He does that all year and I say pay him whatever he wants.
  3. Man that was almost an incredible play
  4. Texas could’ve easily won this game. Stings a little more than had they gotten spanked
  5. Texas offense played well. Gave them 7 points with the drop, and Herman gave them 7 points before the half. Score isn’t indicative of how close this game was. Oh well. LSU is a really good team. I’m expecting a 10-win season from the horns this year.
  6. Wish they’d kicked the fg in the first half on the second try
  7. What a game!
  8. Regardless of the outcome Texas looks like they’re deserving of their top-10 ranking. That’s pretty exciting. They’ve had a few inflated rankings on name alone the last few years
  9. How big is Herman calling timeouts to get the ball back with 1:40 left in the first half and then not picking up a first down or running any clock. I usually don’t speak in absolutes like this, but this game SHOULD be 21-13 Texas right now.
  10. What a drive. It’s a shame the horns are losing right now. I think it could be fairly argued they’ve been the slightly better team to this point
  11. Roschon is our best healthy running back.
  12. That’s how you play a team even for a half and go into halftime down 13
  13. Herman may be a good motivator and recruiter, but tactically he’s pretty awful.
  14. LSU offense wakes up through the air. Secondary has to do better for the Horns
  15. Finally Texas breaks through. Horns playing like a top-10 team. Moving the ball well on the LSU defense, and containing their offense. The goal line offense needs some work, but if dude catches that pass they don’t get the second chance down there and screw it up
  16. To be fair, they don’t get the second opportunity if LSU isn’t starting that drive from the 1. But they should’ve definitely had 7.
  17. IMO he needs to greatly improve his play to even be worthy of the $30M offer. I guess if he has a good season he’ll try to hold out for $50M.
  18. I’m a diehard cowboy fan as well, and Dak has been solid for the boys for the most part. I’m also hoping that the new OC helps. But a top-15 qb passing up top-5 money to try and get record-setting money doesn’t improve my opinion of him, and despite not throwing many interceptions, he takes way too many sacks and can’t hold onto the ball when he takes them.
  19. Here are some 2018 Daks stats that matter: yards: 3885 (15th) TDs: 22 (16th) completion %: 67.7 (10th) yards per completion: 7.4 (19th) sacks taken: 56 (2nd most) ints: 7 (7th least among starters) Yards per game: 242.8 (21st) fumbles: 12 (3rd most amongst qbs) qbr: 56.2 (18th) Overall rating: 96.9 (14th) But this guy just turned down $30M a year, which would’ve tied him for the 5th highest qb in the league, because he thinks he should be the highest paid qb in nfl history? He has been a solid player for the boys, but I’d rather see him cut that get paid that much.
  20. The first graphic on the video I clicked was a video where Dak was ranked number 1 in a stat in which the top ten were: 1. Dak Prescott 2. Matt Stafford 3. Case Keenum 4. Alex Smith 5. Big Ben 6. Deshaun Watson 7. Russell Wilson 8. Carson Palmer 9. Carson Wentz 10. Tyrod Taylor My point being that anything that Dak is doing the best at where the top-10 list includes Stafford, Keenum, Smith, Palmer, and Taylor, but doesn’t include Brady, Rodgers, Brees, or Ryan, is not a very important thing.
  21. Dak has proven to be a good game manager who can’t complete a downfield pass. He’s a top-15 qb, looking to be the highest paid qb in the league. I’d counter his refusal with an offer for $20M a year, which is about what he’s actually worth anyway.
  22. Was pretty sure this was coming. A California newspaper published some stuff right after he died that showed it was pretty likely this would be the outcome, and the family went nuts threatening lawsuits. Now it comes out and they’re still looking for people to blame. He was a grown man making his own choices.
  23. Good showing by Texas. Did what they were supposed to do, and La Tech has a decent team (8-5 last year with a bowl win). Could’ve definitely been worse without the horns calling off the dogs, plus the 14-swing where one play UT has a pick-6 negated by a penalty with no bearing on the play, and the next La Tech scores a TD. I’m excited to see what happens next week.
  24. Rough weekend for the SEC. rough enough that an article about it is the first article on espn. That said, auburn managed to salvage some of that late last night. But still: Tennessee loses to Georgia St, who went 2-10 out of the sunbelt last year. Ole Miss loses an ugly game to Memphis where they only manage 10 points. Misissippi St couldn’t put away the mighty Ragin Cajuns until late in the 4th quarter to win by 10, a team they beat 56-10 last season. South Carolina loses to North Carolina, a 2-win team a year ago (but hey, they have Mack now) Mizzou loses to Wyoming Arkansas squeaks out a 20-13 win agains perennial power Portland St, an FCS school that went 4-7 last year.
  25. Carroll already 10-run ruled argyle this year, 11-1. Their only loss in the past two seasons.
