I think you’re underselling Texas High. They’re a slightly better version of Texas City? They shut them out 31-0. They beat PNG 44-7, backed off and PNG got a couple of late scores in garbage time against the second string. Y’all should’ve lost to Barber’s Hill, who played by far their best football of the season in their two playoff games, and finished the season 6-6. I know y’all rested some folks, but y’all didn’t look good against Nederland. AMC ended the season at 10-3, with a total of one win against a team with a winning record. They aren’t a bad team, but they’re not exactly elite. Texas high may not be as good offensively as AMC, but they’re a heck of a lot better on defense. If they’re able to sniff 35-40 points you guys could be in trouble. Or y’all might come out and play one of your lights out games and put 50 on them and win by 4 touchdowns. We’ll see what happens.

No, if you're using legal force to remove someone off of your property and they escalate it to a point where you can reasonably fear for your life or safety, you'd be able to use deadly force at that point. If you start off with threatening deadly force, thus committing a crime, you can't then argue self-defense if it escalates. TVC can correct me if I'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure I'm right.

Crosby has had a weird season... they've had some impressive wins, some acceptable losses, and a couple of mediocre performances against average teams. It's to the point now where Crosby has to bring their A-game every week. Obviously they beat a pretty good team in AMC last week, but giving up 50 and having it go down to the wire wasn't the best result in a game where they should've been 2-3 TDs better. If they play defense like that this week I think Texas High ends their season. That said, I see Crosby as the favorite in this game, but not by a large margin.

I think they’ll have a pretty good team this year, there have just been a couple of posters on a couple of different threads that overreacted to some blowout wins against some very bad teams.

I’d still be worried if I was him. Todays society and news force is always looking for a victim to get behind, justified or not. A pregnant Hispanic librarian is like their wildest dreams come true.

I can’t even imagine trying to live with yourself after that. I’m having trouble envisioning a scenario where she was out in the woods and he mistook her for a deer. If I were a betting man I’d guess it happened while entering or exiting a deer blind. I’m not always great about unloading my rifle before getting in and out, but I dang sure did when I had my daughter with me a couple of weeks ago. It’s one of the few times you’re ever in a situation where you might not have full muzzle control.

What gets me is all the people I see selling cheap stuff online. These shoes are barely worn, asking $5. I’m not meeting a stranger ANYWHERE for $5. The last person I sold something to online and met in person was a shotgun off a hunting site. He had several thousand posts, and the agreement was made on a public thread. I kinda figured if anything happened it would be pretty easy to figure out who he was. We still met at a Buccee’s, even though neither of us expected a problem.

Looked like murder to me. Dude shot between his feet, and the guy actually grabbed the gun for leverage and pushed the shooter away. The shooter was well clear of the victim, who didn’t appear to be moving towards him when the shots were fired.

I saw that earlier in the other thread. Glad you were man enough to come back up with fork in hand. I’ve had my share from time to time.

After seeing CS mount 5 scoring drives against the Carthage D, I’ll be shocked if WOS holds them to 14.

I picked CS in my pickems. I don’t have a problem with anyone who believes something, but I’ll always point out when someone was wrong when they speak in absolutes and certainties. If he’d come on here and said “I think… because…” I wouldn’t have called him out. But he basically said “this will happen, and anyone who thinks differently is dumb.”

I’m rooting for them, but they have a long way to go if they’re going to do any dancing
