Orangefield can get easy baskets when they don’t panic against the press. They’re very fortunate that Madison has horrible shot selection or they’d be too far down to come back

Really excited about the tournament this year. Have legitimate interest in just about every game for one reason or another (beyond it being a state championship). 3 local teams, plus San Augustine who we’ve covered at times, some small school juggernauts and some 4A squads capable of beating the typical Dallas teams.

Ahh, my favorite time of year, when we get to watch Houston and Dallas schools with 6A (and beyond) player pools try and win state championships in 3A and 4A against towns of 10,000 people or less. What’s Orangefield at these days, maybe 1,000 or so?

Two very good teams, but I kinda expect heritage to pull away in this one

Watched the first 3 quarters of this game. Crawford reminded me a whole lot of those special Silsbee teams we got to see a few years back

Orangefield finished the half well. Fortunate that London was ice cold from behind the arc. Missed several wide open looks while I was watching

London’s press giving the Cats some fits

While he threw a lot less passes than Babin, he completed 73/117 passes for 1683 yds with 17 TDs and 1 int. He also averaged 6 more yards per completion. Some of that probably had to do with them having a 2000 yd rusher while Woodville’s leading rusher didn’t break 600.
