Silsbee has their basketball legs under them now so they win the rematch by 8.Let's face it folks if The Silsbee,Kountze and HJ clubs want tough competition on the tourney trail they would have to travel or play each other.Look at it from the other teams perspective it helps the clubs like Woodville,EC and San Augustine to see what the playoff competition will look like.
I'm going to the boat after this prediction.
2. They gotta recruit faster players  ;D ;D
3. I am not a huge Kountze fan, just a basketball fan that gives them credit when it's due.I have seen Kountze and New Waverly both play a lot of ball over the past 6-8 years.Last year I picked New Waverly to win(even at the Lions den). This year my prediction would be Kountze in a head to head to matchup.Of coarse my predictions and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee and not not much else.Holding Silsbee and HJ to the low 50's is impressive but HJ was missing one of their best players and the Tigers beat ya by 10.If you haven't seen Kountze this year you need to check em out. They beat Silsbee in a track meet and lost twice in very close games to HJ when the Hawks were at full strength.
4. Hudson doesn't lose many at home.Coach Bartlett does a good job though so it will be close.Hudson will probably take this one by 6.
5. I wasn't comparing them to Kountze.I was just talking about ways to give them trouble.I wasn't taking anything away from them because they went to the drum the last 2 seasons.I believe it was Sabine that slowed the ball down and played them pretty close last year.FYI Kountze doesn't look like the club they were last year so don't put to much in to the 0-4 record over the last 2 seasons. From my observations over the past 4 or 5 years Kountze and New Waverly like to play the same type game. This year I think Kountze will win that matchup.Neither club will want to play a team that slows the ball down and handles the pressure well.
6. No doubt he's a big piece to ya'lls puzzle.
7. I haven't seem Memorial this year but the Lions can play with Cleveland. As on old buddy of mine says"you don't need but 5 if you've got the right 5.
8. HoopInsider would probably have his finger on the pulse if anyone does.
9. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a team that plays as group and does not have a go to type player. To be honest with you there aren't a ton of go to type players in the area this year.Usually a go to guy is someone who can average 20 a game but more importantly he can put the team on his shoulders when they have to have a play whether it be a bucket, steal or rebound.EC had one of the best at this I've ever seen but unfortunately for the Bucs he plays in Arkansas secondary these days. This would be a god topic for another thread. It may give some of us a look at the local guys stats.
10. I know the coach that is there now remembers a couple of brothers named McDonald that were pretty darn good post players. The type team EC has this year can't overlook the Anahuacs and Deweyvilles of the world. These clubs are a lot closer than they have been in the past but I still give the Bucs the 2 spot in my poll.If you have never traveled to Anahuac for a district game it can be an eye opening experience and if you don't control the boards and get back on defense it can be a long trip home from Deweyville.
11. I've always thought you were better off playing than resting but this game is probably not real good for either club. Both of these clubs will pull a pretty good crowd playing at either ones home court but the semi pro club that plays at Ford Park doesn't pull much in the way of attendance so I don't see the big lights aspect.Neutral fans will go see Silsbee/Kountze HJ/Silsbee or Kountze/HJ but not many are gonna watch a rematch of a 31 point blow out.I would like to see a 2 game set at Ford Park with E/C playing Spurger and HJ taking on either the Brook or Cleveland.I would definitely pay to watch those.

13. I have seen them 4 times this year.At EC it has always been about the system.Hank and the kid that are there now have always gotten more out of their clubs than I thought possible.I haven't seen a standout on this years club but a club that can score off the press and 3 or 4 kids that can shoot in streaks.Iwas going off what I had seen of Carrington in the past couple of seasons. The new kid has learned to hook players on the block but is going to have to put on some muscle and learn to catch and shoot the 12/15 footer to be an offensive factor.

18. Modest fans award is a tie between HJ and Kountze. Legend in his own mind award goes to Swagg in a runaway  ;D Just kiddin swagg I love the banter you stir up,it's what makes the board fun.
19.
spurger killed hardin today, and i don't know any other scores.
Is this the same club that was supposed to be better than the one that had Marsh, Nolan and Davis??
20. Now thats funny I don't care who you are.
21. I hate to grade your paper no-look but I theenk it r spelled texnology  ::) ::)

24. It's not far,about 60 miles from Beaumont.
25. Court, is Daniel going to be back at full speed by the time district starts??If so I gotta give a pretty big advantage to the Pirates. The Sharks have two good mid-range scorers but I give the edge to Blankenship behind the arc,Whittacre on the block and McGallion on the point.Spurger also gets a slight edge in the coaching catergory. If these two clubs are both healthy I like Spurger,if Blankenship isn't 100% it's closer but the Pirates still have the edge.
