Weren't the Ned losses to Crosby during the QB snakebitten years??? I know one year they were down to their 4th string qb, and think the other year they had to start a soph due to injury.  I don't think those are good barometers.  But I will say that any school worth their salt that has 500 more kids than another to choose from, is going to have a significant upper hand.  Doesn't mean they win everytime, but they have an advantage.  Lets say there are 250 boys, 50 of which want to play football.  25 of which are junior/seniors who can contribute.  Of those 25 extra players, finding even 3-4 who are starting caliber is a huge advantage from a depth perspective, and you may even have those diamonds in the rough that the extra players allow you to develop and find. 500-600 extra in enrollment is a fairly sizable advantage if your program is worth a dang.

Word I got is Nederland's looking like they have two number one's after the way Raines has thrown last few outings.  Interested to hear thoughts who's seen him throw.

On defense, Nederland has this kid, Malveaux, Seay, and Kimler coming back, those are four of the best football players in SETX, gotta think Nederland will be pretty salty on d again next year.

Soulja summed it up pretty well, I'm surprised there wasn't some form of retaliation for the bench taunting, that showed a lot of class on Central's part.  I had no idea Central's 24 is a soph, he's got skills.

Silly, we played a great offense/qb, but don't minimize our defenses ability to keep this team in this game because they face a good passer.  We lost because we couldn't make first downs and put any pts on the board, had nothing to do with pass defense.  Go back and count the pass breakups, they were numerous.  You won't cover a team like that all night. We had 7 To's for goodness sake.  Offense had a tough night, oline was pieced together again and Hopkins was in pain, tough break, but don't minimize our defense pass performance, that's just... how Ironic, SILLY

Buddy, Nederland has a Much smaller enrollment and much fewer in their football program, those are just facts, we ain't whining, but hard to be critical of the numbers we have to play with.  You play with what you're.dealt and the dogs did to their best

The last time a highly touted and accomplished Nederland team got bounced, remember what happened the next year, think of Malveaux, DWash, Johnson, and Seay after an off season with that loss in their belly...

I respect your opinion, but Nederland has much more than a punchers chance here an if you've seen them play, you know that.  We don't need you or anyone else to pick us to know the nasty ass team we have that can compete with anyone.

People nowadays in the glory days of spread offenses, do not.understand the way Nederland plays and wins games.  Folks have a hard time understanding how Ned controlled and dominated a game where PD out gained them 359 to 200... how does that happen?  If you don't know or understand then you picked PD and are thinking GT will waltz away with this thing.... just watch and learn

Dawson would have them hands down in the cheat thumping category... especially if they got bonus.pts for classless bumping in the opponents fans face... big time class in this game.

I really thought the Pfluegerville game was our absolute worst game of the season other than PNG, so please sleep soundly on that good feeling.  Nederland plats ugly, nasty, backyard football.  You can snap the ball every 13 secs and be punting in less than a minute... bring it.
