I would not want to tackle this kid 20 times a game.  He don't run away from tacklers, he hunts em down and makes em pay!  He will be the x-factor in the Dogs playoff run as the o-line gets healthier.  Going to be dangerous.

Mike, let's be fair here, Nederland played NOWHERE near it's best game, dude it's GAME 4... GAME 4 of the year, we're not even half way through this thing.  Neumann would be the first to tell you, yep got out of there with a win, but didn't play the polished football he's looking for.  WHEN, Nederland does, and I'm telling you it's gonna happen and you don't want to peak too early, Nederland will be there as one of the favorites for the Regional Championship.  Dude, have you watched Nederland's football teams under Neumann... few programs in the state get better as the season goes on like Neumann's teams.  His seasons are like giving birth, this is going to take some time to get that pretty thing out, it's not a fireworks show that fires high, explodes and falls to the ground.  Did you open your presents on Christmas Eve... be patient, and watch what this thing turns out.  I think your comments are about as out in left field this early in the year as I've ever read.

Neither team played playoff football tonight, a little sloppy on both sides.  If Nederland were playing playoff football, they would've iced the game when it was 20-6 and they had the ball, but penalties killed that drive.  Vidor jumping off sides to give Ned several first downs, and the kicking game stunk.  Both teams will play better football down the road, but it was fun to watch them go at it.

Vidor fans need to realize that there will be a lot of fans from other schools will be chiming in on this thread.  Nederland respects you and knows they are in for a tussle, don't let these other schools get in the way of this game.  Mr. Happy is a PNG fan adn doesn't really have much else to talk about at this point.

Nederland by 2 td'S in Vidor is a pretty tall order, even in a year when Nederland is the clear favorite.  Nederland by less than a TD. 20-14  Tanner Noel is the x-factor.

One things for certain, you still ain't played NEDERLAND.  Lets talk after that one.

Have a question for Nederland fans.  Did it look to anyone like Carson Raines flipped a switch last night.  I realize he was not perfect in the passing game, but it appeared that the designed runs really got him more "INTO" the flow of the game.  I saw him step up in the pocket and deliver the football like I haven't ever seen him in the past.  It appeared to me like he took his game to another level and wanted other comments.

Nederland defense did not give up 6 TD's, they also played against a short field several times as the O had 4 turnovers in the first quarter.  Defense played exceptional, especially given the loss of anchor Brock Pryor.  The offense really made a huge leap last night despite the turnovers and moved the ball against a VERY athletic Angleton defense.  And to top off the ability this team has, we also found this team has BALLS, and big ones.  After the start they had, to be in a position to win the game with 3 minutes answers more questions than anyone could possibly have about how good they are or can be.  Dogs are legit.

I don't think Nederland wins this game without a few "wrinkles" in the game plan, and I don't think those are coming out of the bag pre-district, just my opinion.  Nederland is very good, but offensively will need dig into the playbook so to speak and I don't think you see that in a non-district game.  Can Nederland beat Angleton, absolutely, will they, my gut says no.... this time.

TDAVIS, you missed the MESSAGE, Nederland deserves nothing, they earn it every week, DO NOT LIVE on your laurels or tradition, go out and make it every Friday night.  Thats how we roll, you didn't hang around long enough to let the message SINK in.

You played for him and you think he's not keeping them hungry like a pack of freakin wild dogs...... maybe you didn't play for him.  Beatin them down maybe a mistatement, but he's Absolutely got his teams mental focus in the right direction.  The notion that Nederland is overconfident is LAUGHABLE... did you pay attention while you played for him.

tdavis is a PNG fan.  You will find many of them trying to build Nederland up and make them more than they are over then next couple of week... at least until we come to the RESERVATION.  Nederland is a team that gets BEAT down by their COACH every week, they DESERVE  NOTHING, they earn every thing, only one week at a time.  They don't have the LUXURIES of some neighboring districts, and Neumann lets em know it.  If you thin that these Nederland players will EVER think they aren't CLAWING their butt out of the gutter every week, then you haven't been around.  None of the silly comments matter. Neumann is in his teams kitchen and they know they are underdogs everyweek.  It really doesn't matter what any Nederland poster puts up here, or what a PNG fan tries to portray Nederland to be in the way of overconfidence, trust me, in that Lockerroom, the ultimate in focus, hardwork, determination, and humbleness is taking place.  But keep trying to think what you THINK is going on at Nederland, cuz you have NO freakin IDEA.... But we will find out.  In due time.

I've been thinking The same about all the chirping from ya'lls side of the track.  Put your big boy pants on.  Why anyone from Nederland is remotely thinking about the other side of the tracks is beyond me, we got too many good teams in the way and too much business to take care of between now and then.
