Nobody said anything about any other 204A teams, I'm talking about my Dogs, District Champs again in basketball and reigning champs in all four major sports, get ready for your playoff game and quit correcting me, what I posted is on the Money.

Another District Championship by the Dogs, very nice... did someone say they were Champs in all four major sports... kinda like the Grand Slam, nice job Nederland, very impressive.

Most of this thread is absolutely ridiculous, you could pretty much cut and paste from year to year and change the names of the kids, it's a pointless conversation.  Congrats to all young men who give their all to play the great AMERICAN game of football.

Okay, I think it's pretty unanimous DHS, Nederland fans think you have a very talented team, but they have absolutely ZERO respect for your kids or your coach.  Unfortunate for such a talented team, but it is what you've made it.  Good luck against Angleton.

Three thoughts on Dawson, 1. Great team speed and big play ability, 2. Good offenses will move the ball on them, great offenses will shred them.  3. Don't come taunt the Nederland sideline like some thug when you're going into the lockerroom behind, unfortunately, that set an image in my mind for your entire program even if that kid doesn't represent all of your kids.  Nederland played well enough to win, just didn't, that's playoff football against a very good team.  Congrats to a senior class that raised the bar and expectations in Nederland again.  With the trip made this year and the stable of horses coming back along with some names we will all become familiar with from the undefeated freshman team, this program is looking for big, big things next year.  Not to slight any of our other valuable seniors, but the only position I'm concerned about next year is Center, Kanton Richard was about as good as they come, he especially, along with our other seniors, I tip my cap to you boys.  You put your own mark on the brand, nice ride boys, nice ride.

There were 26 teams who had made the playoffs the past 11 years... in all of the state of Texas.  The streak of winning 10 straight first round games was ABSOLUTELY one of the longest active streaks at that time.  You count 26 out of all the states football teams in all classifications, then there was a smaller group who had won 10 straight first round games.... and there you go.  I'm sorry it was hard to believe.

Actually, the times that Nederland was bounced in the first round were the anomaly Bamakid.  For over a decade, Nederland took deep playoff runs, winning first round playoff games for what at that time was one of the states longest active streaks at 11. 

Look, those of us who saw Ozen play at the end of the year, Nederland, Lumberton, Barbers Hill, they know this.  NOBODY should want to play that Ozen offense right now.  They can go with the best of em.  Here we have a team in Vidor that did it most of the year with defense, and they are rolling one of the areas best, 204A was/is one of the best districts in this state.

Nederland's defense appears to be playing better this year than it did last year, especially against the speed of WOS?  Not sure where you're coming from.  They didn't sniff WOS's jock in last year's game.  Whatever alignment and schemes they used, sure proved to benefit them, even with the same personnel??? Are you SURE?
