  1. What about John Lee Hooker for Blues? Always loved his music.
  2. Prince’s lead is so kickass
  3. Got to hang out with Shinyribs after a dinner concert at Courvilles a few times. Talented guys.
  4. There’s a country / bluegrass version of Gin and Juice by the Gourds that’s really good (and funny). Past that, I don’t do a bunch of country rap either.
  5. Yep. Lol. I didn’t say it was good. Your comment literally made me laugh out loud. Shooter Jennings is Waylon Jennings’ son (since you brought up Struggle Jennings). The flip side which is a dark version of “You are my sunshine” is good though. Dang, I can’t quit laughing. 😂
  6. Hey Drummer, look this one up when you get a chance . “There is no sunshine” by Jamey Johnson (country music), Shooter Jennings (crossover) and Twiggy Ramirez (Marilyn Manson and 9 inch nails)
  7. Respectfully, I don’t know if that’s always the case. JFK would probably agree with me. Lol. I am in no way a conspiracy theorist, but I do think things sometimes happen on a large scale that we are not (and may never be) privy to.
  8. Dr. Hook did a great version of that song too.
  9. A bunch of 18 & 19 year olds.
  10. Y’all remember the Mac Davis show in the 70’s? At the end of the show, he would take an idea for a song from an audience member and make it up on his guitar right then and there!
  11. I was actually working at KWIC 107.9 (108 the Rock!) in Beaumont around the time that one came out. Really good stuff.
  12. Those are a couple of greats people seem to forget about.
  13. Pearl Jam is good though.
  14. Alice Cooper. What a great choice. Kinda fell off around Welcome to my Nightmare album. Before that, everything was gold. They had a lot of talent.
  15. Now on to some Jamey Johnson, Colter Wall and Tyler Childers.
  16. Did you like it?
  17. Good stuff. You’re definitely an 80’s guy. Lol.
  18. He’s great. He did a duo with Chet Atkins years ago. Pretty cool.
  19. Priceless album
  20. I’m a guitar guy too, hence the Van Halen inclusion. Stevie Ray’s Lenny & Riviera Paradise instrumentals are awesome. Mark Knopfler another I really enjoy.
  21. Everyone of those are awesome picks. Led Zeppelin is probably my number one with Pink Floyd number 2. But I love me some good ole southern rock too. Allman Bros, Skynyrd, Blackfoot. And then there’s Van Halen. I love old Van Halen. Plus you gotta have early RUSH in there (listen to the Necromancer). But man I’d have a hard time with a top 10. Last night by the campfire, I listened to everything from Merle Haggard, Zeppelin, Dr. John, Black Sabbath, the Temptations to 2LiveCrew to DaBaby. I really like all genres. Classic Rock is possibly my mainstay, but it really depends on what I’m in the mood for.
  22. Yep. Been listening to that since I was a kid.
  23. I listen to literally everything (except maybe polkas lol).
  24. Exactly. We have the Political Forum for that.
