Football is king I admit. If it wasn’t for the Tax payer these multimillion dollar stadium’s would not exist, these huge salaries would not exist. If everyone will vote for the school voucher program this would put a stop to a lot of the excessive spending, because when the 75% find greener pastures the 25% will be wondering what happened.
Nothings free, the government ain't giving out vouchers without strings attached.....That's not how they do business. More of the same... cause their hand is still in it. Does anyone think they will pay to have you educated and not have a say? Really?

The battle over multi sport athletes has been fought forever.....This didn't start 3 weeks ago. Football is one of the few sports that is not played year round. It simply cannot be, too physical and taxing. It requires an offseason of strength training, and conditioning to prepare for a10 to 15 game grind. Coach Rich is installing everything from scratch. A whole new Offense and Defense, from cadence to cleats. And football starts in August. Any AD worth his salt would push his agenda......And as for the social media assault, what's the reason for that? Ill wait........hmmmmmmmmm

Thanks. In what year and what sport?
Pretty sure in Football, but not certain....Early 2000s

And why is it that AD's in our neck of the woods are HF coaches?

Social media is a Big Hurdle, everyone has a voice. Lots of misinformation. The tax payers wanted change , now here it is. The flagship of athletics is football. You wanna see the moral, pride and spirit falter, let football continue to tank. How bout we let the new AD, who just happens to be the HFC do his job..... BUT BUT everyone on social media knows better.

Little Johnny that plays baseball all year can get hurt too...Tommy John is a thing. Bball is played alot once the school season is over. Who gets the BLAME for all those injuries? NOBODY, stuff happens......Certainly can't blame a HC/AD who is trying to better his program.....

Got some info on this...this was a footwork drill when the injury happened and that this is a pre-existing condition (he injured the elbow before) As if there wasn't drama in Nederland before now the new football coach is taking heat from the baseball people because of it...Coach Rich is trying to change the culture at Nederland it was inevitable that he ruffled a few feathers along the way
Sooner or later the welcome mat was sure to be pulled from under his feet......Hold your ground Coach. All hands on Deck.

He doesn’t play baseball?

Is the injun Qb injured? Was he participating in football and baseball at the same time?

Accidents happen it doesn't matter if the player is in season or not. This is not on a coach or a player its just an unfortunate situation. Many athletes all across the state participate in multiple sports at the same time. Shoot Prime suited out for a professional baseball game and a professional football game in the same day.
Agreed

Hate this for the young man...... And his team. I would think it's a 100 percent participation kinda thing. Unless you are pitching that day. Injuries are part of it.

I have a question... I keep seeing the word "elite coach" and it looks like certain teams have it figured out. Is it really the coach that made the difference or the change by UIL districting with the change from separation from 5A-DI and DII??
Looking at PNG's losses the last two years... besides Oak Cliff.. the teams they lost to were beat by WEAK 5-D1 teams and out the first round.. (22-23 Marshall beat by a very weak Crosby team that finished 4th and out first round) (23-24 PA Memorial finished 3rd and out first round).
There's no doubt the Injuns are as well coached as anyone but, BINGO on the difference in D1 and D2.... Much easier path as of late....
-
I don't think anyone here would argue that the injuns have had better personal the last couple years. And better Coaching without question. The biggest separation was in the trenches., and not so much skill wise imo.... Talent is cyclical, it comes and goes. If Neds new staff lives up to expectations, I see no issue of much more competitive matchups in the future. It's all cyclical ,coaching and talent.....Lets give it some time and see...200 more kids is a plus but by no means the tell all year by year.

Also hearing Broussard is the OC, last years OC took a job in Lumberton.....

Any word on whether the new coach was able to garner a top notch O-line coach? This is a must!
I hear both were told they could stay if they like........Oline coaches. Tough to replace everyone at once, next year may be different....
