  4. Yates...by 25+. Back yard game for the Lions as they wont have to travel too far down I-10.
  5. ;D We'll get 'em in there Coop. I don't know if they're duplicating the ones from the old gym or bringing them over.
  6. thats TWO words... haha jk man... Great season kountze, ya'll made a good run... best of luck next year Are you serious khsalum!!!!! You call those boys UNDISCIPLINED when some beligerent, drunk Kountze fan follows them to the locker room and then is standing over their huddle talking noise constantly. You must have been acting stupid with him because I know if you saw NW boys turned around, you heard him constantly harassing them. You obviously condone that type behavior. You had to find something though. Just give the dogs credit. Both teams played hard and looked disciplined to me. First, let me give the Dawgs credit on a great win last night. Secondly, I'll also clear the air with what you and I may call undisciplined. Yes, I saw the Kountze fan talking noise to the players constantly, but at no point did I see him stand over their huddle. Both teams just so happened to be seated on Kountze's side of the gym. While I called undisciplined was the way the players were "yapping" back at the guy during a timeout their coach called. Any coach would quickly get his players focused back on the game instead a some guy in the stands. New Waverly is a GREAT team and from what I saw last night, they SHOULD win the State Championshp, but all I said was I felt they were undisciplined. My opinion! Now to the game. As I said in an earlier post, we lost the game at the free throw line. We missed ours, NW made theirs. We had more opportunities at the line and did not capitalize. NW had a few large leads in the game of 7-8 pts, and we continued to fight back. Our largest lead was only 3 in which we led 31-28 at the half. NW came out in the 3rd quarter, took the lead, and never let it go, as we could only cut it down to no less than 3 as I remember the score being 50-53 at one point. Hats off to both teams on a great game. Good luck New Waverly, and to the Lion team. Let's continue to get bigger, stronger, and faster. You over-achieved this year.
  7. thats TWO words... haha jk man... Great season kountze, ya'll made a good run... best of luck next year Yea I saw that after i posted it, but couldn't correct it from my phone...lol... off to bed.
  8. One word....FREE THROWS! We make those we win the game. Period! To my dismay, NW was a very UNDISCIPLINED team. At one point in the game they were turning around during a TO and talking noise to some Kountze fans, all this while the coach was talking. Will post more later or in the morning...kinda hard posting from my phone.
  9. As I've said many times on this board, this is not your "traditional" Kountze Lion team, but they still get the job done.
  10. PAM vs. FB Hightower (-12 1/2) Ozen (-1 1/2) vs. Huntsville Livingston (-3 1/2) vs Brenham Silsbee (-25 1/2) vs. Coldspring Hardin-Jefferson (-7 1/2) vs. Cleveland Jasper (-10 1/2) vs. La Vega Lufkin Hudson (-4 1/2) vs. Center Kountze vs. New Waverly (-4 1/2) Newton (-14 1/2) vs. Shelbyville Spurger (-4 1/2 ) vs. Bremond
  11. Not to step on any toes, but this is a "HOMER" topic. Of course, if you're only familiar with SE Texas, you're going to say that HJ/Silsbee is the biggest rivalry because you're only exposed to SE Texas. Now, I do agree that HJ/Silsbee is the biggest rivalry, but for SE Texas ONLY. There are dozens of other rivalries in the state of Texas that we cannot possibly even know about. The few I know of right off hand are Dallas Carter/Dallas Kimball, Dallas Lincoln/Dallas Kimball, SOC/Dallas Lincoln, FW Dunbar/FW Everman, Houston Yates/Houston Wheatley, CyFair/Cy-Falls (there are others). The point I'm trying to make is that we can't know about other rivalries because we're not exposed to them, but Silsbee/HJ is the biggest rivalry, for SE Texas.
  12. Back to the topic please. I'll clarify. Which SOUTHEAST TEXAS game is the game of the week? I'm going to go with Kountze/New Waverly in the #1 spot, followed by H-J/Cleveland.
  13. The game is being played at 7:00 pm, not 7:30. Saw a misprint in the Enterprise article and on Coop's picks.
  14. With the way we're playing now. I know we can! I've said it before. It will not be a shock to me.
  15. That had a HUGE effect on Kountze. Her not playing is like football team going into a championship game without its starting quarterback.
  16. My source says she didn't play. I wasn't at the game so I don't know the validity of it.
  17. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know someone from West Hardin isn't going to speak about fans! You can't be serious if you were directed out a different door its usually because of something racially charged that spewed from your fan section. Thats one of the worst cases of the pot calling the kettle black I have ever heard. He's from Warren...... (I think )
  18. Because of TAKS testing, no games can be played on Monday or Tuesday night.
