1.
I had heard that, since it was universally accepted that their loss at home to HJ was a fluke, that the game has been erased from their record.
It's been erased from their minds as them letting one get away from them.  ;)  :D

Buna went up like 12-2... *Courtesy of AAW* Thanks bud!

i'll tell you what happened...kountze is a bunch of undisciplined rag tag street ballers who survive on talent alone.  if they continue playing like that, the lions will leave the gym with their tails between their legs.  the king of the jungle WILL be dethrowned!!!!!!!!
Aww....poor baby. So no coaching is involved, right? Since Joubert arrived he's just sat on the bench and said nothing?! Takes more than talent to do what these guys are doing and what WE (including myself) have done. Maybe your team should inherit some TALENT and you'll calm down a little. ::)

 5. Thanks for doing this. I am now listening to the game in my office.  ;D
 6.
Kountze has a good club but it's awful early to be talking about not losing another game. They will have to pick up the long range game to get out of the region.Walker and Brey are playing above the rim and doing a good job but their outside shooting as a team isn't where it needs to be yet.
TopDawg, what does the JV team look like? PG position mainly. I think once Joubert moves Zay McDaniel back to his original position, Kountze could be even more deadly, but we have to a PG first. McDaniel is not a TRUE PG, which has limited his effectiveness at scoring.
 7.
[Hidden Content] Kountze was 30-45 from the free throw line. Silsbee was 7-14 from the line. 45 free throws to 14!!!!! Silsbee only loses the game by 5. ::) A team shooting 30 more free throws than the other team in what was a nip and tuck game the entire way, does make one wonder. ;)
Again, AAW?! Stop attempting to discredit the win by the Lions. Seriously! Instead of congratulating, you're consistently pointing at the FT count. As I stated in another thread, whose fault is it that Bray/Walker attacked the basket as much as the Tigers did?! You're now starting make ME wonder! But since I'm not a "Moderator" or "friend"  I'll keep my lips sealed. I don't want to become a victim of "deleted posts" or get "banned". :smdh: I thought you were better than this AAW.
 8. IMHO I think Silsbee has the best team in Hardin County, followed by Kountze/H-J. Silsbee benefits from their height and depth on the bench. Kountze has Walker, Bray, McDaniel, and Whisenant (sleeper). H-J has Turner. Period. I think H-J stole one from the Lions last Friday, but thats "water under the bridge". Unless someone else helps Turner out, H-J will find themselves in close games throughout the season. I think these three teams could flip-flop in rankings on any given day.
 9. McDaniel is good, but I don't think he's top 10 material just yet. He's playing out of position as he is a true 2 or 3 guard. He should not be at PG. Hence his limited scoring this season.  :-X
 10.
Kountze  30-45 from charity stripe Silsbee  7-14 Nuff said. ::)
Come on AAW! What are you saying? Whose fault is it that Silsbee didnt attack the basket as much as Walker/Bray. Can't be serious! Although I was a bit surprised at the count my self.
 11.
Since Kountze beat Silsbee and HJ beat Kountze does this mean that HJ will beat Silsbee??? :D :D :D
To the "non-traditional" basketball fan....YES!  :D :D :D
 12. Glad these games aren't determined by the 'fans'.... ;D Take care Lazeek. Great showing by both teams. Glad to see my Lion team fight back after they started the game 9-0 and lost the lead. Final 94-89 KTZ!
 13.
I must say that I am a little shocked with the outcome of this game!!!
Care to elaborate Lazeek?  ???
 14. Lions fight back to take the lead after Silsbee goes up by 8....44-42....
 15. Silsbee ties it at 12-12 3:30 remaining..
 16. Quick start by the Lions....9-0 Kountze up early...
 17.
To be clear Central led by 10 after 3!!
Yes they did. I figured the Hawks would make a run in the 4th....similar to what they did in Kountze. Should be an interesting finish.

I say, Find out da reason & dont let it happen! Stop Turner!! And u stop the Hawks The blueprint is out. Play zone, let them shoot all they want. Keep Turner from penetrating, and pass the ball before he gets on ya. If you wait he will take it from you. That's the Blueprint on how to beat H-J. if you don't believe me. Check out T.Williams scouting report.
:D I'm gonna check them out Friday at 4 and see if you're scouting report is accurate Red....

I would have thought it would have been better for Memorial to play Central and HJ to play Anahuac. I really wish that my Silsbee Tigers would have been short handed for their game with Kountze, but now that football is over for them, Silsbee should have all their players available for this game. I say "should" because a couple of Silsbee players sustained some injuries last night that they may need to recover from before they hit the court.
If the Tigers were to be short-handed for their game with Kountze, that would mean that Silsbee would still be in the football playoffs. 6 of Silsbee's basketball players, 2 of which are starters, play football. AAW, why do you wish that Silsbee would be short-handed for the game against Kountze? Maybe I'm confused.

Cool deal.  ;D See you Friday. I'll be in home for the holidays.
