Purcell won Zero championships as a head coach. The deepest any of his teams made it was the Regional Finals in 1987 and 1988. He was a defensive backs coach in Plano when the won a state championship and maybe the defensive coordinator when Plano won another one. He has 3 or 4 rings as the Athletic Director on Denton ISD. Not the Genius that FSSW makes him out to be.

I'm sure many would like to hear the WHOLE story, but regardless of the particulars what really matters is a YOUNG man gets the opportunity at a second chance. He obviously has people in his life that care enough about him to make this happen. Good luck to him and his family and I hope he gets the chance to play at the next level. He is obviously talented enough.

Uniforms and turf are both two years old BG. Nac had their chances and screwed them up. Two very evenly matched teams. The last 1:49 of the first half and the kickoff to start the second half were the difference. Could have been a much different outcome. Lufkin is good, very good, but Nac is no pushover.

Sounds like a boring evening, but most are when Livingston plays.

Vidor does NOT run the Veer. They have been a Slot-T team since Matthews went and visited Randy Rowe at Livingston, they do just enough to keep games close, keep the fans infused with infinite hope and to keep his job. THey will never win big at the 5A level with the Slot-T and the type of athletes they have in Vidor.

With that being said, PNG is still going to be in the mix for a district championship. 1. Nederland (until someone knocks them off) 2. Memorial 3. PNG 4. Central 5. Vidor 6. Lumberton 7. Ozen 8. Lee 9. Livingston

He is definitely an Offensive minded coach and they have proven to be very productive. I'm not sure that playing kids both ways is the solution, but I'm sure a few on the offensive side could help some. I think it is a philosophy problem with little emphasis placed on defense, You would think that PNG could find a few kids every year that were physical and liked to hit people. The defense seems passive, JMO.

One player should not be the determining factor, best 2 of 3 shows who the best team is.

Is McMillion going to sign for sure?

LCM has every right to want to play on their home field. If they had won the coin flip for a best 2 out of 3 series then they probably would have played all three at Lamar. But, with only one shot at McMillion then they chose to play at home. I don't blame them, but it is disappointing as a fan. But, it gives LCM the best chance to win and that is what coaches are supposed to do.

I'm betting he signs after the draft.

I'm rooting for a shut out, like to see great pitching. What kind of pitching does LCM have? We all know about McMillon.
