  1. It could be a shut out, blow out or a bomb fest.
  2. Very anxious to see how this one turns out, this could be an instant classic. Two teams with a history and the crowd for this one will be epic, going to be a great atmosphere for high school baseball tonight.
  3. Just hire Stevie Moore away from Central and be done with it. He would win, have the kids respect, get them recruited and stay for a long time.
  4. I think he is the Offensive Coordinator now in football and is stepping down as Head Baseball Coach to concentrate on those duties.
  5. Will Lamar let him play both? That would be a great opportunity for him.
  6. I've heard they are promoting from within.
  7. Very few do. Most HFC's think they have to come in and be complete and total hard butts to build something.
  8. I was just answering the question where it says in the UIL manual that athletes are not required to work out on game day.
  9. Section 1205: ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY (j) DAY OF GAME RESTRICTION. Participation in an off-season program shall not be required for varsity athletes on the day of an in-season varsity competition, or for non-varsity athletes on the day of an in-season non-varsity competition.
  10. I will agree, those are without a doubt the two best coaches in SETX.
  11. Sounds like a recipe for success, now and for the future. Is it ok to outsmart and outwork the other team though?
  12. Ouch, so Babin is running them off with hard work? Isn't Paine a Lumberton grad?
  13. I think the job that Mann held is actually the same position you are describing. I think he worked with all students to get scholarships and gain admittance into college. He just also happened to be a coach also.
  14. Thank you, I am far from a track guru. I appreciate the information.
  15. Yes, but can't Area times be used for Wild Card spots if the are FAT?
  16. Why would anybody host an Area meet and not have FAT times? Does not make sense, especially since there are Wild Card spots in the state meet up for grabs.
  17. NRG failed miserably. They did not take care of the teams, coaches, media or written press. The crowds were bad and yes, the money was down. The UIL is a business, and making money should be important. But regardless of how much money was lost, the fact is NRG hates hosting High School games and does a horrible job in game presentation should be the over riding factor. AT&T loves High School football and love him or hate him, Jerry Jones takes care of the teams, coaches, and media. And it is just a much more pleasurable experience, keep the games in DFW, I will be happy to make the drive.
