SE Texas Highest Paid Coaches
PlayActionPass replied to Peppermint Patty's topic in High School Football
Such a tough concept for some people to comprehend oldschool2, simply issues a lock to every kid and lock the locker room when everybody is out. It is call individual responsibility, if these things were done then there would never have been an issue. -
Maybe because Faircloth didn't hire his dad.
-
Kirbyville will have to play keep away and hope to force a turnover or six to win this one.
-
It is everywhere, at every level. We do it because it is a calling. We love the game and we care about kids. And most of us couldn't make a living doing anything else.
-
And a few mommy's and daddy's could take turns as position coaches.
-
We all know Hardin will be open.
-
That is a bold prediction, especially since it will also probably be filled as soon as Beaumont West Brook is eliminated from the playoffs.
-
I know our board frowns on rumors, but does anybody have any predictions of jobs opening, with credible evidence of course.
-
None in our area that I am aware of yet, except Hardin. We usually see a couple before Thanksgiving, I'm wondering if they make a change in Rusk (not sure if this is even in our area) because of the lateness of the situation that occurred there. The only reason I bring up Rusk is because the Interim Head Coach is an ex-Dayton head coach and I though somebody from Bronco land might have some insight.

Players quitting High School Athletics
PlayActionPass replied to SEWatchdogTX's topic in High School Football
This is such a great topic. Figuring out why kids quit athletics, there is only one reason. Because, mommy and daddy let them. I will agree that you are either cut out for football or you are not. Not a whole bunch of in between, and that is what off-season is for, to determine who has what it takes. On the flip side, I hate these run-oriented coaches who say I would throw the ball more if I just had the kids. See Barbers Hill as the prime example, if you commit to throwing it, the kids will show up. The bottom line is, if it is not fun then a lot of kids are going to quit. Lots of other options out there for little Johnny. -
Vidor was Vidor and Crosby was Crosby, it was an intense and heated game that both teams wanted to win. Sometimes when competitors are overcome with emotion they react poorly. The better disciplined the team, the fewer times this happens.

Kids do what they are coached to do, and they were not very well coached.

Crosby v. Vidor (Stallworth 7pm 11/10)
PlayActionPass replied to Cougtalk's topic in High School Football
Crosby will have to be hyper aware on offense and score on almost every possession, because they will be limited. IF Vidor does not turn the ball over and forces one punt in each half, then this game will go down to the end. Defending this offense is a more about discipline than talent. You have to have everybody doing their job and not chasing ghost or eye candy. -
Jags represent, and pull out a tight one.

Need information on Hempstead

They are fast. -
Only if it was Larry Haynes

The outcome of this game rest solely on the play of the Crosby Quarterback.

Pink eye? All season? You must be joking.

Corrigan-camden vs frankston
PlayActionPass replied to corrigancamden09's topic in High School Football
I guess I should have been more clear, yes there will be a change at the top, but are the changes going to be a complete overhaul in philosophy? It seems that there needs to be a completely new voice and new message in CC. -

Coaching change rumors flying in CC??? -
Classic contrast in styles. The winner will be determined by who overcomes their shortcomings better. If PNG can slow down the powerful rushing attack then they should win. If Vidor wants to win they have to find a way to stop the forward pass, a concept that hasn't reached Vidor yet.

Then create one. The Cougars are still licking their wounds and getting healthy. I expect them to explode in full force Friday night. Don't poke the Cougar.

Purcell won Zero championships as a head coach. The deepest any of his teams made it was the Regional Finals in 1987 and 1988. He was a defensive backs coach in Plano when the won a state championship and maybe the defensive coordinator when Plano won another one. He has 3 or 4 rings as the Athletic Director on Denton ISD. Not the Genius that FSSW makes him out to be.

Is this the 3rd string QB?
