Nederland is not winning 5A DII state championship this year. Hitchcock is not winning 3A DI state championship this year. I am willing to wager a large sum if you care to bet. Now, this doesn't mean that Silsbee will not lose to those teams, but pump the brakes on the state championship talk.

One of the things I noticed last Friday was #0 played safety as well as QB where I don't recall seeing #5 play any defense. In that game, I thought #5 played just a little better than #0 at QB.

Yes. We are starting to get into that "magic number" territory. (btw, it's 18) 6 1/2 up with 24 games remaining. If Astros can just go 14-10 the rest of the way, they will win the division easily. Seattle will have to go 20-3 the rest of the way to tie Houston. Mariners just ain't that good enough to pull that off. Like I stated earlier, all Houston needs to do is get to 86-87 wins (basically play .500 ball the rest of season) and that will be enough to win division. Currently, they are projected to win 90 games and Seattle to win 82.

Two of the toughest positions to play both ways is RB and Inside LB. That is what Farr is trying to do. We do need a 3rd RB to emerge to help out. IMO, Farr is too important on the defensive side. Need him more there than on offense. I think Gaines can manage both being we have more players to help in the secondary.
