Why is that such an issue with you? Teams cancel for a multitude of reasons all the time. Scheduling conflicts happen. I know for a fact that Silsbee, Central, Ozen, West Brook and other local teams have had to cancel games before. United may not have had to yet (not positive about this) in their short amount of time but I promise you they will in the future. It happens. Get over it. smh

That's an understatement. Knowing what that team has gone through and what talent he has (or lack thereof), this could be one of his best coaching seasons of his career. I certainly didn't have them to be 4 points from a regional tourney appearance.

I had 6 teams making it but had San Augustine and not Sabine Pass. The other 5 were my picks. Looking forward to a great regional tourney weekend.

I have all the regional tourney info that involves our 6 coverage area teams that have made their respective regionals. I will post that thread tomorrow evening with opponents, dates, times and places and who they would play if they were to win. These are the six coverage area teams that made their regional tourneys and who they play: 6A Region III Beaumont United vs.Katy Seven Lakes 5A Region III Port Arthur Memorial vs. Killeen Ellison 4A Region III Silsbee vs. Houston Wheatley 3A Region III Kountze vs. Palestine Westwood 2A Region IV Sabine Pass vs. Santa Maria 1A Region IV Brookeland vs. Rocksprings

I believe one can safely say that 4A Region III in the last 20 seasons runs thru Silsbee.

This win sends Silsbee to their 16th regional tournament in last 20 seasons. Only 4 times in that span that Silsbee didn't make regional tourney was 2006, 2011, 2013 and 2014. This is their 10th consecutive regional tournament. ('15, '16, '17, '18. '19, '20, '21, '22, '23, '24) A win vs. Wheatley Friday will put the Tigers playing in their 14th regional final in the past 20 seasons. Been a pretty descent two decades for Silsbee.

Rice probably should have had at least 15. Was the difference of Silsbee winning this one by 20 or more.

He also is the star QB for the football team.

Better than pretty good. I would say he is better as a freshman than what Sells was as a freshman.
