1. Silsbee wins this one, 51-42.
2. Good question. Which Bobcat team will show up? Without Hayes, this will be a very interesting game. I was impressed with BC when the Tigers played them last Tuesday, they are not too shabby. Orangefield has been very inconsistant but has played well the last couple of games, particularly on defense, holding HJ and Silsbee well below their season averages. Orangefield has to win to keep their nose in the playoff scene. BC needs a win like this to get them in the mix also. I'll take the Bobcats, 55-50.
3.
So are they banned for good or just on a vacation?  Its boring in the soccer forum now.
They go bye-bye.
4. How much was the lunch tab? Is that an NCAA violation? ;D
5. The #6 state ranked, #1 HoopInsider Silsbee Tigers will travel down to Hamshire-Fannett tomorrow night to take on the Longhorns in 21-3A action. The Tigers (20-2, 3-0) are coming off a tough, tough win over Orangefield and will look to keep their current win streak (12) going and remain undefeated in district play to set up the potential battle of unbeatens Friday night. Hamshire-Fannett ( 6-16, 0-3) is coming off a pretty bad thumping from Hardin-Jefferson and is still looking for their first district win. Silsbee swept the series last year. Broadcast time will be 10 minutes prior to tipoff which is scheduled for 7:30pm. Just click the link to listen to another basketball broadcast here on the SETXsports Network! [Hidden Content]
6. At last count, I have watched and/or broadcasted a total of 54 games just this season, covering from Woodville to Winnie and Orange to Cleveland. I saw Tarkington last year also in the EC tourney as I covered that tournament exclusively last year. Like I said, they are better than they were last year. I'll put my knowledge of basketball up against your's any day, Hup.
7.
I support Memorial to the fullest, only missed like 3 games all yr. But be 4real, it would be at least a 15-25 pt game. To understand Yates you have to see them in person.
I could very well see Memorial lose to Yates by 15-25, just not 50. I think they are a better team than that.
8. Show to start in 10 minutes!
9. I look for Prentice and D.C. to step it up in the scoring department. Also look for Kelton Gaines to score more. Eddie Fobbs holds the current single season block shot record at Silsbee with 162. Avory currently has 134.
10.
The possibility of a playoff preview and some possible match ups!!!!
I am hoping that happens too. Definitely will discuss.
11. Remember if you cannot make it out to join us at the Depot tonight, please post any questions or comments about the local basketball scene here on this thread. Joey and I will have a discussion forum in the last segment of the show to talk about your questions or comments.

14. Silsbee's Avory Thomas on pace to break the single season record at Silsbee for block shots. Also the team is on pace for the team block shots record.
15. [Hidden Content] WOW!!! Livingston fell completely out of the poll!
16. [Hidden Content] Only local teams to move up were PAM up 2 to #19 and Spurger up 1 to #24. No local team fell out of the polls.
17. I'll give Silsbee an A overall. Of late, I'll give them a B.

19.
Careful AAW, I saw Sam Houston a couple of times this year and while their crowd was down (it was during the break) their club was pretty dog gone good.I have watched LU for years but they are gonna have to make some huge strides to beat the bearcats this year.
Who was talking about winning? The convo was about attendance, or in Sam's case, the lack of. ;D

22.
The basketball gods of Silsbee and HJ have spoken... Are were you fishing for someone who actually knows something about the team to respond?
Actually Hup, I saw Tarkington play twice this season, at the EC tourney. I am sorry, I wasn't too impressed. But, if it makes you feel any better, they are better than they have been in the past. ;)
23.
the woodville tournament will not be a good measuring stick the Rebels played that tourny like they didn't want to be there look at the matchups on the floor there is no better shooter is southeast texas than Murphy i'd put him against any one in 3 point rangehas the prettyest shot around and stark and tucker are real good in the paint if we had a true point guard we would be hard to beat with a little more practice at point harrington will be just fine and we have a good bunch on the beanch
As one that has seen both teams, I would say that Spurger's Blankenship is a better shooter than Evadale's Murphy. You mention that you guys don't have a true point guard, guess what, Spurger does. McGallion is one of the best in this area. As for Evadale's inside game, I like Stark a lot, but I'll still take Spurger's Whittaker over him. Again, I have seen Evadale play 4 times this season (twice in the Woodville tourney, twice at the Evadale tourney), Spurger 4 times. IMO, Spurger has the better overall team.
