  1. You guys aren't listening. I have already told ya'll that Dennis Franchionne is in negotiations with PNGISD as we speak. He is the name that was not on the list that they were after.
  2. Yeah, but the company was good.
  3. He bet me that I couldn't make 20 three pointers in a row. ;D After I made 26, he was like " "
  4. When I started this pickem, I stated that all pushes were a loss. What I meant by that was that the team that is favored does not win by more than the given points, the result would be an incorrect pick. Basically, I was adding the 1/2 point to every game. I did not want to have any ties. I will put a 1/2 point on every line from here on out so that there will not be any confusion to us experienced gamblers. As for the rest of the folks, I know I will have to explain this 1/2 point business. :
  5. I actually had thought I owed, but after looking back on the thread, Lazeek lost the bet! Just a little bit of mustard and make sure the coke is frosty cold. ;D
  6. Orangefield doesn't have wireless network. I had to do the game by cell > I lost the call right before the second half started and I could not contact Jordan to get me back on. We finally got back on with about 6 1/2 minutes left in 4th, finished the game from there. The cell phone business is for the birds, but we got to work with what we got. I wish all school districts had the wireless network like Silsbee has.
  7. Silsbee put this game away in the first half. The Tigers defensive pressure and their offensive rebounding took it's toll early on the Bobcats. The 37-14 halftime lead for Silsbee was pretty indicative of who these two teams are. Silsbee was just too quick and too big inside for Orangefield to handle. Silsbee did go into a pretty good lull about midway through the 3rd quarter, missing 13 consecutive shots, many point blank. The Tigers kind of got a little impatient with all the misses and it enabled Orangefield to trim the lead to 12. Shannon then took over and Silsbee closed the game out on a 13-3 run. Orangefield committed 28 turnovers for the game! They were also outrebounded tremendously. This score could have been a lot worse, but I suppose the Tigers had Bullets in mind, and played it safe. ;D Good road win Tigers!

  9. Tigers put away Bobcats, 62-42 Gabriel Pruett The Orange Leader ORANGEFIELD — Give the Orangefield Bobcats credit, they battled back like all Orangefield teams are expected to do. In the end the Silsbee Tigers were too quick and Shannon Robinson found a way to make sure his team would not lose. Robinson, who had a game-high 24 points, and the Tigers improved to 16-6 overall and 3-0 in District 21-3A play with a 62-42 victory over the Bobcats. Orangefield, who was led by Garett Granger’s 13 points, is now 15-11 on the season and 1-2 in the district standings. Silsbee got up as much as 40-14 in the third after Robinson opened second half scoring with a three-pointer. Orangefield would then mount a furious comeback led by Tyler Angelle who had two three-pointers in the third period. The Bobcats would outscore the Tigers 20-12 in the third and closed the gap to 49-34 heading into the fourth. Robinson then started the fourth off with another bucket to push Silsbee ahead 51-34 but then the Bobcats started another rally. Granger knocked down a pair of free throws before Bryden Smith connected for a bucket and drew a foul. Smith, who had five points, hit the free throw to make the score 51-39 with 6:26 left in the game. Silsbee would end the rally with a 10-0 run behind Robinson and D.C. Stallworth as the Tigers seized a 61-39 advantage. Stallworth finished the night with an impressive double-double, 17 points and 14 rebounds. The Silsbee defense was the difference in the first half, especially its fast full-court pressure. The Tigers forced 18 turnovers from the Bobcats in the first half and limited Orangefield to 14 points. While Orangefield was struggling to keep possessions, several Tigers had enough to lift the Silsbee offense. Pheal Hill had six points in the first period as Silsbee led 17-8 after the game’s first eight minutes. Stallworth then had eight in the second and Robinson had five as Silsbee grabbed a 37-14 half-time lead. Derrick Evans finished with seven points for the Bobcats and Silsbee did a nice job keeping Zach Hayes from bursting out on offense as the junior was held to seven points. Hayes did though work in other areas after being held down on offense. He was able to grab 10 rebounds. Silsbee only turned the ball over 10 turnovers. The Bobcats will be on the road Tuesday night when they travel to face Bridge City.
  10. About to leave work and head over to Orangefield, where ever the heck that is. ;D
  11. I knew you would come with that, but we are speaking just head to head. Remember, you guys did go 4A for a little while. Regarding your 3-0 bit, I say it's just 1-0, since our 4A days don't count.
  12. ] i am talking about the last couple of years not in 1908 aggiesweare i mean ty cobb probably the games your talking about lol Oh that's right, records weren't kept until you guys started beating Silsbee, which started just a couple of years ago. I guess all those wins prior just don't count. : I'll play by your rules just this once. The record stands at 4-3, HJ. The one extra win was the Montagne game.
  13. Your back yard? ;D Well you could say it is my back yard. I live right across the road from it.
  14. Late great?? Mr. Williams is very much alive.
  15. Actually, you can go even further back to my playing days and Silsbee beat HJ a few times in the Hawks gym. In fact, we won the HJ Christmas Classic 2 or 3 times while I was in school, beating HJ in the finals a couple of times. I believe it wasn't until the last couple of years is when HJ actually started beating Silsbee.
  16. I could take him at Silsbee Country Club. ;D
  17. Lazeek, I forgot, what is your managerial fee? ;D I can hear myself now, "To start the fourth quarter, the Tigers are up by 28 and will only send one player out on the floor so that Bullets won't get any ideas that Silsbee is looking to run up the score". ;D i'm gonna laugh if it's close going into the 4th. I believe it will be close going into the 4th.
  18. Yes. I then would predict that your brother Chad would break the story a couple of years later about the secret e-mails that PNG boosters had with Franny. ;D
  19. When I woke up this morning I Stumped my toe on the bed post You are so wrong. PNG is in negotiations with Dennis Franchionne. That's the name that isn't on the list.
  20. To me it was a waste of air time. There was no law broken and you guys were just pissed because you weren't given a list so you had no story to tell other than the FOI. Media needs to write stories about the real issues that are going on in our country and if the only story you can come up with is high school applicant list maybe you need to change professions. Now that's not a fair statement. Gabe, Chad, and Tom are SPORTS writers, they write about sports and the issues that go along with sports. This was a sports story. The only person who should not have been on there was the Yak.
