Well, it looks as though Tiger will miss the cut. There are 73 players at +4 and Tiger needs at least 4 of those players to drop down to +5 to allow him to make the cut. The bad news is that there are only two players that realisticly have a chance of dropping down to +5. They may have had to revamp the whole Friday schedule due to Evadale dropping out. I will be headed up there at 4pm and will try and get the complete schedule.

You sure about that? According to the schedule Silsbee is playing Lumberton at 6pm. HJ is to play at 7pm with a yet to be determined opponent due to Evadale dropping out.

Yes he did. He did turn the ball over a little too much and just couldn't match up well on the defensive side. He was too small to guard one of those twin guards for Cleveland.

I posted the scores, LAZEEK. HJ lost to Anahuac, 44-27, then they beat Nederland 41-28.

Kountze just did not have the size to match up with Cleveland. Big '6"6 Cedric Reed, the blue chip football star controled the paint. The two twins shot the ball well and attacked the basket. Walker and McDaniel were really the only scoring threats for Kountze. Plus, Cleveland had the better bench. They were able to play about 9 players compared to Kountze's 6. It was close in the first half but Cleveland was able to build a 14 point lead in the second half and then held off a little rally by Kountze to win it by 7. The better team won this game. Cleveland could very well win this tourney.

Tiger pars 18 to finish his second round with a +4 74, which has him at +5 145, which is one shot off the cut. He will now have to wait to see if the cut moves to +5. There are now 75 players at +4. Tiger will need at least 6 of those players to drop back to +5 to move the cut.

Tiger just birdied 16 to get back to +6. The cut is still at +4. There is a slim chance that it could get to +5, but the weather would really have to get worse. Tiger needs to birdie these last two holes to make the cut on the number.

Tiger double bogeys 10, pars 11, bogeys 12 and then double bogeys 13. He is at +5 on his round, +6 for the tourney, two shots behind the cut line of +4.

Tiger shot 1 over on the front nine, now sits at +2 for the tourney. He just lost his ball off the 10th tee and looks like will make at least a double bogey on this hole to fall below the cut line at +4. Things look shakey for the man.

The score of the Silsbee-Spurger game was 41-38. Silsbee did play that game without their three big men. '6"4 Stallworth, '6"7 Thomas, and '6"7 Jones did not make this game. Anahuac did beat HJ by the score of 44-27, I checked the books on that one.
