Draft for a split conference for small schools
AggiesAreWe replied to jmspears3's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Orangefield, Coldspring, WOS, Cleveland, and Splendora will have 2 hour one way travel for district games. That's ridiculous. That kind of travel is necessary out in West Texas, but not around here. I think the fact of having neighborhood districts is far more important than this "equaling" : the playing field concept. -
Draft for a split conference for small schools

With the way the economy is and how schools need to watch their budgets, this one disadvantage nips this idea in the bud. It will not happen. -

She decided to not play this year. Concentrating on track. They really do miss her though. -

I guess WOS felt like winning by 8. This game was played last Friday night, for those of you who are clueless. : -

I always knew you were a pretty smart person, Lazeek. But in this case, it doesn't take any smarts to take that bet. ;D -
Latest on Silsbee QB Jeremy Johnson's recruiting
AggiesAreWe replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
come on AAW!!.... I'll bet he runs for at least a thousand.... not including the playoffs. I was a little leary of predicting a 1,000 yard rushing season for him. Silsbee has a very good running back returning next season, he'll get a good portion of the carries. I will say, I will not be suprised if Jeremy rushes for over 1,000 yards next year. -

Latest on Silsbee QB Jeremy Johnson's recruiting
AggiesAreWe replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
In his first two seasons (soph., junior) Jeremy has over 3,600 yards passing and 1,500 yards rushing with a total of 50 touchdowns(passing and rushing). I am predicting an even bigger year for Jeremy in his senior season. I think he'll finish his high school career with a 3 year total of 6,000 yards passing and 2,300 yards rushing with a total of 80 td's. -

I'll take Silsbee and the 20. How much do you have in your little piggy bank to wager? I know you are not old enough to have a job and a bank account with the immature comments you make. : -

Changes have been made, standings have been updated. From here on out, I will use the 1/2 point system.
-
To answer all of you guys questions, Bryan "Sticks" Harris was '6"8, Eddie Fobbs was '6"11. Harris went to Texas Southern, Fobbs went to Sam Houston and is now playing professionaly overseas and doing real well.
-
Not upset, huh. I should have used the 1/2 point system with the picks. That was what my intentions were when I used the example with Ozen and PNG when discussing the pushes. I did not want any ties. That was my fault( for about the 5th time I have said :) for not making that clear. If you would like, I will go back and change it.

No his brother is Donavan Harris.......... Donavan won state in track and was also a good reciver on the football team...... I wish Donavan would have played basketball like his brother is doing now.......... :'( cause that kid could jump........... Correct, Xavior is Donovan Harris' brother. Xavior is a '6"2 soph. who was just brought up off the JV a couple of weeks ago. Harris is playing very well and is definetly contributing to the team. With the addition of '6"6 Barnes coming up off of the JV next week, the Tigers will have 4 soph. playing on varsity, 2 of them being starters. I also wished Donovan would have played basketball last year. He definetly could jump out of the gym. I guess that's why he won the state championship in the high jump last year to go along with his 110 meter hurdle championship.

Like I said, I did not clarify the fact that a push would result in loss if you took the team giving the points. That's why I used the example of Ozen having to beat PNG by more than 21 points because that's how much they were favored by. That's where the 1/2 point makes the difference. Go back and look at the very first post of the first pickem thread. Mike I am not stupid.......I have bet before and know how the lines work. You do not have to explain it to me like I got a education at Silsbee!!!! ;D ;D ;D Never said you were stupid, Rob. I'll let someone else make that call. ;D Like I said, I'll take full responsibilty for not being clear enough on the pushes. I am going to use the 1/2 point system from here on out. This should clear up all descrepencies.
