  1. I couldn't agree more. I think a reasonable price for the chairbacks should be around the $50-$65 range and the bench seats around the $25-$40 range. Then after a few seasons you can go up on the prices. As for my Aggies, I hope we see a better value for my season tickets there in Aggieland than I have gotten the last few years.
  2. I was told the chairbacks would be at least $100 a seat per game. Also, those seats will have at least a $1000 to $1500 PSL to each seat.
  3. No. ODU is in Norfolk, VA in a metro area of over 1.5 million people. They also don't have much else in the way of entertainment! DC is up the road a bit. LU is in a Metro area about 1/4 the size. I agree. I think Lamar will be fortunate to get 5,000 season tickets, even if that. After hearing what the chairback seats will be going for, that 5,000 number could be out of reach.
  4. Here is a link at scout.com announcing Jeremy's verbal commitment: [Hidden Content] Also a link showing his current national and state ranking at QB: #15 national, #5 state [Hidden Content] And here's a link to Jeremy's bio on scout.com: [Hidden Content]
  5. Silsbee junior QB Jeremy Johnson, 4 star and scout.com top 15 national quarterback, has given a verbal commitment to the West Virginia Mountaineers! This is just a verbal commit, it's non-binding. But this is where Jeremy wants to go and West Virginia has always been at the top when recruiting Johnson. Best of luck to you Jeremy and I am so glad you'll be playing the position that you have always wanted to play at the next level. Now go out and have a great senior season!!
  6. Yes. D. Frank MAY be attending a private prep school in D.C.
  7. IMO, it looks as though Roc is dissappointed with his class and is trying to delay the inevitable, ridicule for the lack of a descent class. I have done some research and it looks as though Lamar is one of the last schools in the nation to release their signees. It will be interesting to hear his excuse for the delay.
  8. No. In fact, the two athletes that I mentioned earlier are the only two to be MVP's of their district in both football and basketball.
  9. There's that egg on the face again. :
  10. Another softball drama at it's best. : I do not know how these "select" softball teams are formed and run, but jumping ship mid season or right at the beginning of season shows lack of respect and character. All it shows is that it's "all about me" and screw everyone else.
  11. Check a couple of threads down, you'll see.
  12. Morrison asks for patience on coaching decision Gabriel Pruett The Orange Leader ORANGEFIELD — Orangefield Athletic Director Blake Morrison wants everyone to be a little more patient and not jump the gun on his future. Morrison was on his way Tuesday afternoon to Coldpsring High School to meet with AD Bryan Barbay about becoming the defensive coordinator for the Trojans. “I don’t know yet,” Morrison said. “I have been telling people I will make my decision somewhere around Thursday. Then I will give exactly what I am going to do. I have not resigned from Orangefield. I am looking at going through the processes. I want people to just hold on and I will give the go-ahead on what I am doing later.” Orangefield Superintendent Phillip Welch also reported his office has not received a resignation from Morrison. Morrison said he will first talk with his family before making a decision on whether to take the Coldspring job and leave Orangefield High School. “I am headed there now (Tuesday) to Coldspring just to talk with them,” Morrison said. “Right now I am just looking at another position. I will let everyone know on Thursday.” The Bobcats are 12-34 under the direction of Morrison. Orangefield went 1-7 in 2008 with Orangefield’s win coming against Tarkington. Morrison stepped up from defensive coordinator in the 2004 season after Kevin Flanigan left for Crosby High School. Flanigan’s last season, 2003, is the last year Orangefield has reached the playoffs.
  13. I was wondering if someone was going to post that fact. I was told he was considering the job, but hasn't resigned as of today.
  14. How about some of you Mustang fans leave the football forum long enough to give us your perspective on who will be the next basketball coach there?
  15. Congrats Zach!! I know you'll do a heck of job there in Vidor.
  16. You would think that guy would get tired of having egg on his face all the time. ;D
  17. Oh, so it ain't all about football at WOS. ;D Good job Toby.
  18. To add to my earlier post, Tremain Thomas is the only athlete to win the Willie Ray Smith and James Gamble awards. I would have to say that Tremain is the best since 2000.
  19. Silsbee's Desmond Doss was the MVP of district 21-3A in both football and basketball. I believe he and Tremain Thomas are the only two athletes to have done that since 2000.
  20. I was told by Dave that Lamar will go to the highest bidder. There have been other stations who have inquired about doing Lamar football. Also, Clear Channel is doing some cutbacks and it will depend on how much Lamar charges to broadcast their games if KLVI is even in the mix.
  21. Thank you Nos for correcting short. Know your facts before opening one's mouth. Facts, opinions, propaganda, blah, blah, blah... Freedom of speech lil' dude (even when wrong). Silsbee has been a program for how many years to claim that one regional championship? WB has been in the mix only since '82... Brook will have there chances just like Silsbee has had theres. Westbook has had more talent than Silsbee and alot of talent is still there! It will only take a coach to put that situation together, the same way Boutte did with Ozen (with Brook's talent). Also, of course Simon allows his asst. coaches to help coach football, Simon is a football guy. He originally applied for that job before the basketball position was open. Outside of the Louis Arlin and Thadeous Holden years Silsbee hasnt come close to the overall talent that can be found at Westbrook. Except this year when Brook only had Lopez and Whittington and that team could have been better too, if the right coach was there. Again thank you for the correction I always tend to think in the past when I think of GREAT Silsbee teams! See, there you go again Short opening your mouth without knowing the facts. Silsbee has claimed 5 regional championships, not 1. They have also been to 8 other regional finals. West Brook has yet to make a regional final. Also, we have had more than just Holden and Arline as far as talent goes. McDonalds All-American Darryl McArthur and at least 25 other all-state players has come through Silsbee's basketball program. You want to give WB the benefit that they have only been in existance since 1982. Well, we can compare programs since that year and Silsbee still has accomplished more since that year. It's really no comparison. Only thing I might could agree with you on is that West Brook may have more potential, but we know where that can leave you.
