  1. Correction, best 2 man tourney in Southeast Texas. Silsbee has players from those cities too, but also from several other states. ;D
  2. This part of your post: I look for an interesting year in hoops this year. On paper Silsbee seems to be the team the beat and the athletes as they did last year.................OF has the experience and it is very tough to play in OF..................HJ what they always have and that is basketball players and coaching
  3. I agree with some of that. But, I will predict that Silsbee wins district outright and they will not be scared by Orangefield. Trust me, those days are over regarding the Bobcats. What I saw from them in the tourney this past weekend shouldn't scare the Tigers.
  4. Who said anything about making Kountze the favorite? Show me the post that said that.
  5. I agree. But HJ still has that coaching staff, which IMO, is second to none.
  6. Sean is 6'2'', 235. He runs a 4.7 forty and a 4.1 shuttle. He powercleans 315, benches 305, and squats around 450. Incredible pass rusher who will definatley have a breakout season this next year. Explosive, aggressive, powerful, and quick. Watch this kid. Thanks for that info, Sean.
  7. I did mention in my first post on this thread that both teams should be considered 1a and 1b. (of course Silsbee would be 1a) ;D
  8. We beat them by 11. Silsbee and Cleveland split both games last Saturday. Silsbee gets the nod because of the point spread. ;D ;D
  9. According to what I was told at the Silsbee Summer Tournament, Franks will be at Ozen this coming year. That info came from several folks at Ozen, including Saveat and Franks himself.
  10. No caps, last warning.
  11. Uh, THEBRAIN, it is against the rules to use all caps. Have you ever read the rules for this messageboard?
  12. Good question. ;D
  13. We did. Twice last year and by 12 points just 3 days ago. ;D
  14. Take the ball and run with it. It never hurts to ask. But keep in mind that it will take sponsors to do this.
  15. District title will come down to who wins the Silsbee-WOS game. Silsbee has very good chance of beating the Mustangs, but I am predicting a WOS victory by 6, 20-14. I have Bridge City making the playoffs this year as the 3rd place representative. They will defeat HJ in a very close game. Actually this could go either way but I believe it's time for Stump to do something there at BC. Orangefield and Hamshire-Fannett will have a tough year this year. Of the two, I would say that Orangefield has more positives than negatives. HF lost way too much, I am afraid they are in for a very hard time this coming season.
  16. I thought I was giving them respect?
  17. Region III Class 3A top 5: 1. Silsbee 2. Cleveland 3. LaVega 4. Crockett 5. Hardin-Jefferson
  18. In an upset: Lumberton 23 Hamshire-Fannett 20 Let the games begin!!!!
  19. Brey coming back does make quite a bit of difference. He will help keep Roman outside. But if he comes with that attitude that he has displayed recently, then it might be detrimental to the Kountze cause. Even so, having Brey back would change alot of things as far as Kountze's stature in Region III.
  20. Yes it is Grad. We did do a couple of their games last year after the BISD game of the week didn't work out to well. We have Vidor sponsors on board so that made the decision pretty easy. We still may work out the same deal from last year with Nederland and PNG and put the link to their games here on the site which would give us 7 games total on a Friday night.
  21. Here at SETXsports we will have Silsbee, Vidor, Kirbyville, Newton and Lumberton. KLVI will still have Nederland football and 92.5 FM will still carry PNG. KOGT will do Orange county games (mostly WOS probably).
  22. What??? Jeremy Johnson...not a "big boy"? ;D He could probably lay a block or two and make a tackle if needed. I just hope he won't have too. ;D
