I thought you knew me. I am disappointed.

Yet you posted on that thread 14 times. Oh, BTW, you and everyone else on this site is limited to what they can say or do on here. Nobody will "do what they want" like you have stated, on this site. All must follow the rules or be subject to the consequences.

The Team to Beat in the 2009-2010 season
AggiesAreWe replied to the1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I did like Silsbee's chances in 21-3A until I got some bad news on the injury front. Looks like the Tigers will be short a couple of pitchers for this next season. -
I for one, never thought Shannon was the caliber of player to be recruited by UT, UH, or A&M. Not even Lamar. But, I think he could play at some jucos or even a Div. II school.
-
You using the word "ALL" is what I disagree with. Not all Southeast Texans are disillusioned to the state of basketball recruiting. You being so braod with your statements is where we disagree. I know that our area, along with many other areas across this state, have fans of that nature. But that doesn't make the whole area to be that way. You just CHOOSE to lump everyone in the same boat. Which is very funny, because you are always adament about people doing you in the same manner.
-
I agree DV, except for the part about SE Texas being disillusioned. Shannon needed to take advantage of a couple of opportunities and he chose not to for whatever reasoning, which I don't understand. You are right, there is not a big market for a '5"6 guard who found himself to be at a disadvantage defensively, to put it lightly.

Because you were the only one who was against this even being a thread. If someone else had given a report on the wedding, it would be cool. It's the fact that you change your stripes to accomadate yourself, that's why. Also, you are kidding yourself by saying that more people here wants to here about Perk's wedding over a local basketball tourney that 17 local teams were involved. That's hilarious! We'll see how many views each thread will have by next week. :
-
No. He had some opportunities to go juco, but he did not pursue them. I am quite confused to his basketball status at this time.

What's the difference? That's funny! The difference is, you were against this thread even existing yet you found the need to talk about it after the fact. Nobody was against the Silsbee Summer league thread. Many folks wanted to hear the details of it. I was asked to by several members to chronicle the games. It was of great interest, as you can tell by the length of the thread. Nobody asked you to give any summary of Perk's wedding. Particularly after your ranting that his wedding should remain private. THAT'S JUST ONE OF THE DIFFERENCES!

Who's angry? I find it hysterically sad.

Here's an example of how screwed up the LISD is about spending the money. It was my understanding that a couple of years ago some good folks there at Lumberton had decided they wanted to donate some money in order to buy a new scoreboard for Radier Stadium. They had raised enough money and had worked out all the details with a scoreboard company to purchase a nice new scoreboard with all the bells and whistles. When they approached the district about doing it, they were told that they could donate the money, but the district would spend it how they see fit. Needless to say, the money was never donated. Now I realize that a scoreboard would be way down on the list of priorities, but if it wasn't going to cost the district a single cent, then why not let these good folks donate the funds to at least get this done? This is just one example of how the district is, IMO, too tight with the money.

I very much agree, spinks. For a person who was so adament about deleting the thread and giving Perk his privacy, he comes on here and talks about it. So lame. Of course everyone knows not to take DV's word on anything.

Lumberton vs. Hamshire Fannett Week 0 Predictions?
AggiesAreWe replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Don't forget, they play Silsbee too. But I guess you would want to forget that eventual loss. ;D -
Yep, and I'll be there broadcasting the game. This will be the first time Silsbee has officially played Spurger in any sport. I hope the Spurger fans come and watch. Silsbee JV did play Spurger's varsity a long time ago, it wasn't too pretty either. I was on that JV squad(see I really meant a long time ago) and we beat Spurger very badly that night. Something like 104-34, not sure exactly, but it was bad.

I think we'll find out who the recruits are when they suit up for that first game. :
-
Silsbee did play that game without their three big guys. Also, Spurger had two of Big Sandy's players playing for them. Silsbee did play without the two 6'7'' guys, but DC came in half way through the first half. The two BS boys scored 6 points combined.Mcgallion,Whittaker and Blankenship done the scoreing the whole tourney for spurger. It would have been a different game altogether with the two big guys playing,we would have had major match up problems. That being said,I am proud of the way they handle there self against the bigger clubs. Don't get me wrong, court, I was very impressed with your squad. I just thought the 3 point loss was a little decieving. Also, some of the games I saw, those two BS guys did a lot more scoring than just a combined 6 points. I know of one game that at least one of those guys scored 15 or more. The Anahuac varsity coach and I were discussing how good a player he was. Overall, I thought your team played the best team ball of any team there. A team had to play well in order to beat you guys. There were no freebies.

WO..... nevermind ;D

The coaches already knew he was here before he came up to the school.

Just think, he was suppose to play for Silsbee his senior year. He and his mom moved here the summer before his senior year but the Palestine coaches begged his mom to let him stay with one of the coaches so that he could finish there at Palestine. I don't blame the coaches for doing that at all. Also it is very understandable that he would want to finish there at a school that he had attended his whole life. He certainly had the buzz going around here for a while. He came out and worked out with our guys during the summer.

who will be the district MVP in your district?
AggiesAreWe replied to holdup's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
It will be back to back MVP's for Jeremy Johnson in 21-3A. Turner of HJ as Offensive MVP Cook of WOS as Defensive MVP -
Palestine has two schools, Palestine High and Palestine Westwood. To answer the question about how many disrtict titles Palestine had while Peterson played there, it is 1. They won the district championship his senior year.
