Now that football is over, I will turn my broadcast attention over to Tiger Basketball. I will be starting with the home game this Tuesday night against Ozen and will do as many Silsbee games as possible through out the season. I will be broadcasting Tiger games at the Big Sandy and YMBL tourneys. Just by looking at what you posted, I am assuming that there will be 5 teams per side of the brackets with Woodville and Jasper getting the byes. I take it that Silsbee, Legacy, and Woodville are 3 of the 5 in one bracket and that New Waverly, Goodrich, and Jasper are 3 of the 5 in the other side of the bracket. Who are the other two teams in Silsbee's side of the bracket? Is it Spurger and Onalaska or Big Sandy and Hardin?

[/quote] I think Jeremy will have a significant impact for the Tiger basketball team. His '6"3 athletic body will just add to what is already a very long and athletic team. JJ is a pretty good basketball player in his own right. He can hit the outside shot, attack the basket very well, and defend the perimeter like Lane can with his length. Also, Jeremy adds more speed to an already speedy team. Jeremy may be a bit rusty and I expect him to be for this first month of the season. But come district time, I really think he will be a scoring force for this team. Just another weapon for the Tigers that look to be pretty loaded already.

After watching this game and last week's game, I believe Gilmer can be beat. They are not the "all mighty" team that I thought they would be. Their defense is a little suspect. I truely feel that had Silsbee managed to defeat Navasota, the Tigers would have gave Gilmer all they wanted. I think Gilmer would have still won the game, but it would have been close, like this one. A couple of breaks here and there, you never know. Navasota had their chances to win this one. They went toe to toe with the Buckeyes, really good game.
