  1. Funny, Silsbee didn't have a single offsides penalty against Newton. Must not be every play.
  2. "Won't be captilizing on our mistakes" What, Kirbyville makes mistakes?? Huh, go figure.
  3. Hey bleed orange, I thought this thread was about Silsbee-Orangefield? Obviously you had to change the subject there to make you feel better. You're weak. Don't bother replying, you are a waste of my time.
  4. The score in the 3 quarter scrimmage was 20-13, with Lumberton scoring in the last seconds of the 3rd. I do know that the Tigers had their subs in for the whole 3rd, not sure about the Raiders. With this said, any team hanging their hat on winning a scrimmage( if there is a such thing as winning a scrimmage) that team is flat out reaching. Silsbee outscored Nederland in their scrimmage, but I would not say we beat them. Silsbee's record is 2-1, wins over Houston Sterling and Newton, loss to PNG. That's the only record I know of. If you are going to count scrimmages, then the Texans have 3 wins already and not 0-3.
  5. Hey Kvilleballa, tomorrow morning when you get to school, seek out your english teacher, please.
  6. Great point, Newton Broadcaster. Kirbyville hasn't ever shown any class from what I have seen. Case in point 2 years ago at the Silsbee game. It looks like they get it from the head coach.
  7. So what are you saying Bleed Orange? That Orangefield would have given PNG a better game. I don't think so. That game was closer than the score showed, which by the way was 27-9, not 27-7. It was anyone's game up till the last quarter when the Tigers fumbled a couple of times at their own end of the field. PNG played better than the Tigers, they deserved to win, that's for sure. You guys have beaten who?? Buna, Splendora????? I wouldn't hang your hat on those wins. You also lost to a 2A school, East Chambers, convincingly I might add. East Chambers has a good team, no doubt, but maybe not as good as Newton. Silsbee will beat Orangefield by 3 tds.

  9. William Harper QB Silsbee 169 yards rushing 3 tds Took the Tigers on a 70 yard game winning drive in tha last minutes of the game, rushing for all but 5 yards of that drive, then scoring the winning touchdown.
  10. Well, the Tigers have Orangefield, Bridge City, Hamshire-Fannett, WOS, and Hardin-Jefferson to play before they get to Kirbyville, so let's not get ahead of ourself. But if you insist, trust me, Silsbee does not fear Kirbyville.
  11. I don't think using the word "should" is the right way to put it. Could win, yes, but not should when you are talking about Newton. They have clearly shown in the past that classification means nothing to them. They have beaten many a good upper classification teams in the past and will so in the future. They have already beaten 2 big 3A schools this year in Crockett and Jasper. I believe they would beat Bridge City this year also, if scheduled.
  12. Well, like I posted earlier, at least you guys could enjoy one week at #1. Good luck rest of the year.
  13. Seven games left, all of them district games, Raiders finish 2-5 for a respectible 5-5 season. That's probably 2 more wins than most thought they would have this year.
  14. Actually, Silsbee had 3 defensive starters( 2 lineman, 1 lb ) and 1 offensive starter ( lineman ) not play. Also, Terrance McCarter, the Tiger's leading rusher coming into this game, played sparingly because of some injuries.
  15. The question was who was the best ATHELETE to come out of Lumberton, that doesn't just relagate it to football. If you are wanting the best football player then it would be T.J. Light. But for the best athelete in my opinion it would be PeeWee Langham.

  17. Enjoy your one week at #1, Newton. Tigers put Tatum back on top next week.
  18. Terrance McCarter of Silsbee has 19 carries for 303 yards and 4 tds. Averaging 16 yards a carry. Also, Rocky Calhoun of Silsbee has 202 yards on 26 carries but that doesn't put him in top 10 though.
  19. Bobby "Bubba" McGallion, son of former longtime Tiger coach Ray "Stud" McGallion.
  20. It's a no brainer, Silsbee at PNG is the game to see. This should be the game of the week, not Bridge City-Lumberton.
