1.
I heard Coldspring has some size this year at the 5 position. Any thoughts?
Yeah, Cleveland wins.
 2. Get those questions and comments posted and will discuss them in our last segment of the show. We also will announce the 2010 All SETX football team being released tonight!
 3.
the correct score of that game was 84-42. a close friend of mine verified that through the books
Well I broadcasted the game, the score was 91-42. Scoring for both teams in that game: Burkeville Robertson   12 Erwin         11 Bran          10 Brooks         6 Turner        3 Silsbee Gaines       22 Lane         15 Elam          10 Holmes       10 T. Barrett    9 Busby          8 Rhone          6 Barclay        5 Harris          4 Wilson         2 That adds up to 91-42, Silsbee. BTW, Silsbee's point guard Gaines led all scorers in this game with 22. ;) You said Erwin had an off game, but then say that Silsbee could not handle him. Give me a break. Silsbee has seen better point guards this year and have a much better point guard themselves in Gaines.
 4. Posted up top in sticky. Local teams in state polls: 4A  #19 Nederland 3A  #3 Cleveland      #7 Silsbee      #10 Hardin-Jefferson 2A  #22 Kountze 1A DI  #23 West Sabine 1A DII  #12 Spurger          #20 Leggett [Hidden Content]
 5.
john erwin from burkeville texas.. he is fast, quick, great 3 point shooter... just an ultimate offensive threat that silsbee couldnt even handle... go back and watch tape.. silsbee couldnt hold him for anything... this kid is great!
Erwin scored 11 points against Silsbee, 6 in 1st half, 5 in second half, in a 91-42 loss to Silsbee. I think the Tigers handled him very well, even without the services of their best player, DC Stallworth. DC more than likely would have swatted away some of Erwins shots. ;) Robertson of Burkeville actually led them in scoring with 12, Bran also had 10. I have seen better point guards in the area.
 6. Jordan needs to get involved. I have checked every IP he has used and none of them, as far as I can see, are banned IP's, including his home IP. I do not understand why he cannot log on from home.
 7.
Nederland Hardin-Jefferson Silsbee Kountze Burkeville Spurger
You have to make a choice between HJ/Silsbee and Burkeville/Spurger. Both teams cannot advance to Austin.
 8. I am going off the info I got from his coach, his father, and Jammal himself. Was told he was working towards making sure his knee would be ready for fall football, SFA or McNeese I was told. They were not considering basketball at all. But that was back at the YMBL when I last heard this.
 9.
Yea, he later signed a free agent contract with Tampa Bay and made it to the final cut. Now, he is at Church on the Rock, which is near the Lamar campus. The way they throw the ball now in the NFL and use smaller WR's in the slot I really believe he would have made it in today's NFL. He was 5-11, 180 and ran a 4.4 forty. Could bench press over 380 and do 225 over 20 times. Great athlete. Check the year 1982. [Hidden Content]
I know all about Cazzy, we competed against each other in high school. He was a super athlete, one heck of a pole vaulter.
 10.
Well, you can add ex members of the SLC to the list that made it to the National Championship game in I-AA now (FCS). Louisiana Tech in 1984, Northeast Louisiana 1987 and Arkansas State in 1986. You'd love the Arkansas State team. Guess what offense they ran and their Head Coach? Larry Lacewell was the Head Coach at ASU. He was at OU for a long period of time under Barry Switzer prior to becoming Head Coach of the Indians. Later he was a long time scouting director for the Dallas Cowboys from 1992-2004. Offense they ran at ASU was the wishbone!  :D Long-time friend was a 2 time All-SLC WR from that team. Also, the last time McNeese made the finals was 2002. Also, the SLC has a automatic bid to the FCS playoffs so if a team wins conference they automatically are in the FCS tournament. Now back to the topic of Riley Dodge making a visit to Lamar University. It would be a long shot for him coming to Lamar for a number of reasons. One being we are getting another FBS transfer at QB. Still, I am hopefull of landing him as you can't have too much talent!
bigred360, I know what friend you are talking about, LCM's Cazzy Francis.
 11.
Just got my tickets in the mail. 3rd row, mid court for all 18 games! Hope to be watching some local teams.
Great!! What local teams do you think you could be watching?
 12.
AAW, you werent suppossed to bring that up!!  Come on man.  Actually, I dont know who will win district.  I think CH will, Woodville behind them and Woden in third.  Woodville pulled a big win off on Friday at CH.  Big win.  So it is a toss up as far as I can tell.
I'll take Woodville and you take CH for $100.
 13. I thought the topic was "who is the best point guard in SETX?", not "who could potentially be the best point guard at the next level?". ;)
 14. et bb, you wagering on just Woodville not winning district, or you including what team you think will win district in the bet?
 15.
Maybe BADSANTA will come over and broadcast with you.......... :D :D :D
Uh, rather do it by myself. ;)
 16.
No go tomorrow night again for me.......last week night Little Dribblers game for us!!!!  Next week I will be there for sure.  We can talk about Silsbee and HJ all night!!!!!
Hopefully Soulja can be there, sure don't want to try this by myself.

 18. The key to win for both teams is to outscore the other team. ;D
 19. The game Tuesday night is not in Leggett, it's at Spurger. That's why I am broadcasting the game. Schedule shows the game to be in Spurger. CATMAN, you need to check the schedule first before posting. ;)
 20.
Is the qb who got hurt going to get to play this year?  I had penciled in a Cleveland vs Silsbee regional final until he went down during football season.  Can't ever count out HJ, but I still think these two meet up to decide who goes to Austin.
Jammal Ross will not play basketball this season due to his injury sustained during football season.
 21. In 3A, if a team wins district, they get a bye in the Bi-District round. Then play Area, Quarterfinal, Regional Semifinal, and Regional Finals to advance to Austin. Regional semis and finals in Region III are held at the Regional tourney in Huntsville. Runnerup and 3rd place all play the Bi-District round.
 22. Navasota had no player '6"5. The two in the photo were '6"2 and '6"3. BTW, the photo is a pic of the alley oop from Kelton Gaines (the other Silsbee player in photo) to DC. It was a perfect lob pass from Kelton on the run.
