1. A tid bit from Bob West's article in today's paper: I’m not quite sure what to make of the Southeast Texas Basketball Awards that were presented Saturday night at the Holiday Inn on Jimmy Johnson Blvd. How you can pick the top 12 players out of Southeast Texas, and not have anybody from a Memorial team that was probably the best in the area, is just odd. Especially when that Titans’ team had a pair of Division 1 signees in Darius Harris and Shaq White I do not know the complete list of the 12 finalists (do know that Silsbee's Stallworth and Kountze's Brey made the list), but I agree with Bob here, Shaq should have made the list.
 2. Could there be a sweep? I say, if LU sweeps Sam, TT can't post on this site for a year. ;D
 3.
How about selling the naming rights and using the money for the athletic program?
That's what they should have done in lieu of what they did.

Freshman and JV games take place during band practice.
Curious.... how do you know that??
I was going to ask that question too. How do you know of JV records across the state?
It was determined by a poster on the PN-G site. He started by looking at all of the teams that were undefeated at the end of the regular season, and then looked at their JV teams. If I remember correctly, the only school that came close was Waxahachie, with a JV team whose record was 9-1. I don't have a link at the moment, but I've messaged the site owner to see where the thread is and will post a link later.
How did he get all the JV records? BTW, he must of not looked very hard, because he missed a team right here in Southeast Texas. ;) I also know that Gilmer's JV went undefeated too.

I've heard the name of all those girls but I've never heard of the Johnson girl. She's not a freshman is she?
Johnson is a freshman, Jeremy's little sister. Silsbee has 4 freshman girls advancing to regionals.
Correction, Johnson is a sophomore. There is 3 freshman advancing to regionals.
