11.
I like it
I don't like that they are moving to the AL. Will be more late night starts for them now. Wonder why Bud Selig didn't offer to send his own team, Brewers, back to the AL where they once were?

 19. C'mon guys, enough with the political talk, we have a forum for that kind of talk. Please keep it to the subject of the topic. Thanks
 20. Nope, but Dove it is obvious that you have come to the end of your debate. ;) You now try to employ politics into the discussion. ::)
 21. I enjoy Jim's mag for what it is, a greater Houston area mag that covers mostly it's Houston teams and bigger schools across the state, along with info on the top players in the state and nationally. The other mags like TexPreps gives great coverage of every district from class 5A to Private schools across the state. They have info on every single team, something that Hicks mag doesn't provide.

Hicks mag is geared more to Houston area and bigger schools. It's a good read. TexPreps is good also because it has good coverage of the small schools (3A and down). I read the mags mostly for info on the "teams" and not necessarily what players and how they are ranked.
My point is this: Do they come and scout Silsbee and able to give a true assessment of Silsbee? Yes or no?
Not sure that either of these two make it to Silsbee. I personally have never seen Jim Hicks or R.V. Baugus at Silsbee High School, but that doesn't mean they haven't been there. Hicks goes to the big AAU circuits and has a good grasp on who the top players are, but he is clueless as to who are the top small school "teams" in the state. That is my point. My interest goes much further than who is the top 100 state or national players are. I want to learn more about the teams across the state.
 23. Big tourney over in Pasadena. 48 teams, pool and bracket play. Here is the link to it's site that has the list of teams, pool games, and bracket play: [Hidden Content] Several locations will be hosting these games, go check it out!! Headliner team is Flower Mound Marcus, defending class 5A state champs, with top players Marcus Smart and Phil Forte.

 25.

Just so happens, I went by the Barnes and Noble at Parkdale Mall today, no sign of the mag. Store employee said they did not know if they were even going to get it. Did pick up this year's TexPreps Basketball mag.
Texprep? Oh okay. So you'd rather trust a magazine that doesn't even see half (okay more than half) of the kids they highlight there.
Who said anything about trust? I picked it up to read it's info. Plan on picking up Hick's mag in Houston Friday when I go over there to broadcast playoff games. Question, TexPreps can be found all over the state, why is Hick's mag just greater Houston area? Been getting both mags the last several years, both have it's good and bad.
