Well, I am going on record now as to say regardless of how any team (not just Silsbee) does in their respective scrimmages, there will be no "winners" and "losers" from Saturday's scrimmages. Now I agree that there will and should be some that will be very excited or very disappointed based on the performances of their teams in these scrimmages. Some will play well, some will not, for a multitude of reasons. But it will not result in a "win" or a "loss". Everyone should start getting some perspective on how their team will be. But claims of teams "winning" a scrimmage is just silly. Also, the ones that will say "had it been a real game, we would have won" are just as ridiculous. Let's let the scrimmages be just what they are, glorified practices. No more, no less.

Silsbee had 88 players report. 35 varsity, 25 JV, 28 Freshmen. Silsbee has 2 varsity starters still out with injuries. Both should be cleared to play by season start.

Was told that the Silsbee/Kirbyville scrimmage will start at 10:30. Also heard that certain Kirbyville fans want this scrimmage to count as a game if they "win" but it never happened if they "lose". ;) ;D

It is nice but there are already better 3A stadiums than that one. One thing that surprised me about Rattler Stadium was it's seating capacity, just over 5,000. Where as Silsbee's Tiger Stadium has a capacity of 10,000.

Well, which is it? We got three people from Kountze (well, 2 1/2) saying he is playing in Silsbee and one person from Kountze saying he is playing in Kountze.

They will be playing in the Nederland tourney as one of the replacements but I have not heard what other tourney they will play in to replace the other. The Tigers will still play in the YMBL. I do not know of the other teams in the Nederland tourney other than Nederland and Ozen.

I just took for granted that the "Gold" meant that the parents would have to shell out more money for their kid to play. ;) ;D
