My  3A/2A/1A  picks: 1.   Silsbee 2.   Spurger 3.   WOS 4.   HJ 5.   Anahuac
::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
My sentiments exactly LAZEEK. HJ, PAM, Ozen, Central, Nederland and West Brook are better than Spurger, WOS and Anahuac. Some would say they are better than Silsbee too.
 2. This year, overall talent from top to bottom, I would say Ozen has more than Silsbee. Now, that doesn't mean that Ozen has the better team and would beat Silsbee this year. But talent wise, after the top 2-3 players on each team, Ozen has more. I still say that Silsbee's Stallworth and Lane are top 5 players in this area, but overall, Ozen has more talent, this year.

 5. You starting your post with this statement, "Might want to stay off the sidelines since both teams lost!!!!!!! Must be a bad luck charm", says everything about "your opinion". ::) What bigred360 just stated says it all. It's no secret that JJ is transfering, but to what school, that is a decision that the family wants to wait on before making it public. Nothing about me, just trying to be as informative as I can be to the folks here on the site. If you haven't noticed, I am an administrator here and that is part of my job. If someone else reveals what Jeremy does, so be it. I just know that I did what I was asked.

It's my understanding that a decision has been made, but not ready to make it public just yet.
Might want to stay off the sidelines since both teams lost!!!!!!! Must be a bad luck charm. and why all of the secrets?? like it really matters? i guess only to silsbee folks??
Jeremy was not on the sidelines at the Silsbee game. As for what you are calling "secrets", when the family asks me to keep it under wraps for now, I will respect that. Also, I am sure proper paperwork and NCAA legalities may have something to do with it. ;) Of course, a hater would not see it that way. ::)
 7. Again, you guys are foolishly and childishly clueless as to how school districts schedule things.
 8.
The Golden Boy got the boot.
Nope. No one got booted. Left on his own accord. Hopefully he will be back.
 9. Perfect example as to why a homecoming is scheduled on a particular weekend. Other events, priorities come into play sometimes.
 10.
Since WOSgrad is running this now I guess the rumor is true.  HA   ;D
What rumor?
 11. I agree, WBBear. Some folks are acting like little girls, crying about being disrespected. I am sure that West Brook "scheduled" PAM for homecoming JUST to disrespect them. ::) ::) ::)
 12. For the simple fact that Silsbee does not "schedule" it's homecoming designed around the opponent. It has a lot to do with what weekend is the best date wise (other events) and having the best atmosphere. Sometimes (due to schedule, other events like Band contest) homecoming for Silsbee is later in the season. Depending on how the district schedule is, sometimes tougher opponents end up being the homecoming game. I do know that a lot of people here in Silsbee has really liked the idea of having one of the best home games on the schedule as the homecoming game.
 13. It has nothing to do with disrespect. You guys have no clue. Over the last several years Silsbee has had Jasper, WOS, Bridge City, Kirbyville, Newton, Ozen, Lumberton and other like teams as their homecoming opponents. Silsbee looks at it as making the game that much better. That "schedule" the weakest mentality is pretty lame.
 14. ::) I see nothing wrong with scheduling the best home game as the homecoming game. Silsbee has been doing it for years, makes the game that much greater.
 15.
I saw JJ at the BC & Silsbee game
JJ was at the BC/Silsbee game and was on the sidelines for the Lamar game. It's my understanding that a decision has been made, but not ready to make it public just yet.
 16. Ozen QB David Green's numbers: passing    19-33, 309 yards, 4 TD's rushing    19/105 yards  2 TD's total off.  414 yards, 6 TD's
 17. Quote from Rake1: " I may be wrong and I apologize if so but I don't think the current group of BC juniors has ever lost to WOS." Several of these juniors were playing varsity last year. WOS won that game.
 18. When you say "all time", how far back in history are you talking about? Also, are you talking strictly what players did as high school players, or are you including college and pro careers?
 19. I have seen both teams play, WOS wins this one by 2 TD's. WOS    28 BC        14
 20.
Looks like to's were the deciding factor
I totally agree. That and the fact that Silsbee could not get a single yard on three consecutive plays late in the 4th in BC territory, giving ball back over on downs, was the deciding factor in this game. Silsbee now has on the season 29 fumbles, losing 15. A total of 21 turnovers (6 int's) thru 7 games, an average of 3 per game, just will not cut it. I can live with the 6 interceptions out of over 150 pass attempts (18 passing TD's, 6 int's, very good ratio), but the 29 fumbles when we are not considered a running team, is far too careless. Silsbee has to get better with holding onto the ball.
 21. Final team stats:                                 BC                      Silsbee rushing                33/116 yards              42/157 yards passing            8-19, 201y, 3-1            15-25, 222y, 2-1 total                      52/317 yards              67/379 yards FD                            11                            18 Penalties                  2/25                        4/40 TO                            2                              5 I'll have individual stats later tonight
 22.
First off this is not directed at the entire Silsbee fan base, there are some really good folks over there, but nobody chokes on "crow" worse than Silsbee fans on this board. When you see others (for example the WOS faithful Gas, Td, and others) give credit to the other teams it shows a great respect for not only the sport but for others involved. Some of the comments made after the BC game just are mind boggling! Lots of sour grapes and temper tantrum toddlers out there lashing out. Not a real good look for anyone, that's a shame any way you slice it. I'm sure Silsbee will continue to be a good program and be in the hunt come playoff time, they have a solid team and some really good athletes. It just so happens that they came out on the wrong end of the score tonight and BC played a better game. Give credit where credit is due every now and again even if it means giving it to the opposition. To all my Tiger friends good luck next week, to all those who are angry and pouting good luck to you as well.
I think you can narrow your direction of your post to just one Silsbee fan. ;)
 23.
BC played tough just could not over come a one sided referee,this one takes over first place from the ref we had in WOS game!
::) :'(
 24. Silsbee defeats Bridge City 3-2 Both teams now tied for 1st
