1. Tonight, the Silsbee Tigers travel to Sour Lake to take on the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks in district 21-3A play. The Tigers (4-3, 1-1) are coming off a tough loss at home to Bridge City, 26-22, while the Hawks (2-5, 1-1) broke a 4 game losing streak by getting a district win over Hamshire-Fannett, 20-18. Both of these teams are battling for a playoff spot and a win tonight would help solidify a spot. Silsbee leads the all-time series with HJ, 7-1, after winning last year's game, 56-26. Pre-game will start at 7pm with the kickoff set for 7:30pm. Mike Sanchez and Tim Scoggins will bring you all the action, LIVE here on SETXsports! Just click the link provided to hear all the action. 2. Gas, I have seen both of these teams play, I am convinced that WOS is the better team. Now we know sometimes the better team loses games, but I just don't see it happening this time. Example, Silsbee turns the ball over 5 times against BC, but only loses by 4 points, had every chance to win that game, out gained BC 380-317. If Silsbee turns the ball over 5 times to WOS, Silsbee will lose by 3 TD's, you can bank on it. ;)
3. So, Kirbyville gives up 31 points to BC and that automatically makes their defense better than WOS's? Not following that logic. Would Silsbee only giving up 26 to BC make their defense better than Kirbyville's? Yes, WOS only scored 14 against Kirbyville, but they only gave up 28, not 51. I still say WOS wins by two TD's WOS   28 BC      14
I think they call it the YMBL, held at the Montagne. 16 teams, pretty good tourney.
I guess.
You can forget BISD hosting any kind of "small" school tourney or have any tourney that will have a great number of small schools involved. That's what the surrounding towns have going with their tourneys. BISD/YMBL is looking to make their tourney much bigger but with more 4A and 5A teams. Also, a girls tourney, sadly, would not even be considered.
8.
I'm all about basketball even more-so than football but this seems excessive...The Fred White doesn't even fill Ozen and now they can fill 8K seats?
The Fred White?? I think you mean the Fred Williams Classic. The Ozen gym was pretty full for those last two games, but you are right, far cry from 8,000.

16. Would be nice, but I am sure there are more important things BISD should be spending that 10 mil on, right bullets? ;) It really isn't necessary. Ozen and Central have nice facilities, West Brook just needs better lighting. I don't imagine that would cost 10 million. ::)
17. Todd, I do appreciate what you are saying, but you have nothing to apologize about. You did what was expected of you. You keep on keeping on.
18. Thanks Chad for providing that info. As it has been stated, the player in question will be eligible. Time to move on. The thread is locked.
19. Guys, we have a problem with Corey. He is obviously ticked off and is letting his emotions dictate to how he is going to moderate from now on. He is upset and I think being spiteful in the manners that he is moderating. I have no problem with moving that thread to the deleted forum. Some of the posts were bad and there were too many really to try and modify. But, I don't think anyone should be banned.
20. 30 minutes till show time!!!
21. Come on folks, get those questions or comments posted here for tonight's show. Our discussion segment should be an hour long since we are starting the show 30 minutes early at 5:30. Discussion segment should be around 7pm until 8pm. Plenty to talk about tonight. ;)
22. Our scoreboard show, the Jasper/Newton Electric OT Scoreboard show, can be heard here on the site and on the local radio airwaves at 10:30pm on Friday nights. The show lasts until 12:30am. You can tune into 102.7 FM out of Jasper and 1150 AM out of Port Neches. We update all the scores from the Southeast and East Texas areas. We are in the works of getting more local radio stations to carry our show.
