Soulja, cmon man  :D
Central has nothing to gain, they beat LCM on the playing field.

 3. The word I got from the Tiger practices is that some frustration is going to be let loose Friday night. Silsbee scored 53 points in the regional final victory over HJ last basketball season, Tigers may exceed that total Friday night. ;D Silsbee  56 HJ        14
 4.
Any more questions ask Mike Friedman.  :D
I will ask him Saturday night. ;)
 5. Silsbee defeated HF 3-0
 6. Glad to hear. Now folks, back to your regular programming. ;D
 7.
Looks like everything is going to work out.
Work out for who? The rest of 20-4A or LCM?
 8. I haven't made any excuses for him. Just stated the facts of the matter and that he will be transfering.
 9. I personally hope that all is well and the player in question is eligible. Just would be a bad way for the Bear's season to turn after making great strides this year.
 10.
I didnt see that on the newscast
Freidman reported it during his newscast. It was right after the piece they did on LCM's game this week with PNG.
 11.
Ok which 20-4A school snitched?  :D
Sad thing is, it could be from someone not even in the district.
 12.
Ira has always been in the shadows of other head coaches. It is now time for him to step outand run a program on his own, I think this guy would be a good fit for some local schools. Always good with kids and really tries to develop positive young men.
Could not agree with you more. As much as I would hate to see Ira leave Silsbee, I would love for him to get a head basketball position somewhere. Now that he has finished his degree, he can now fulfill that lifelong dream.
 13. KFDM reports in their newscast to night that a letter was sent to the UIL and to all the schools in 20-4A that LCM could have a player ineligible. The player in question had played for WOS last year and transfered to LCM this year. A question to his residence status has the possibility of the player being ruled ineligible. If the UIL does rule that the player is indeed ineligible, LCM will have to forfeit all it's games that this player played in. Stay tuned for further info on this story. UPDATE:  there is NO indication of any reason the player should be ruled ineligible. LC-M has made contact with both the UIL & disitrict chair and are in process of showing all documentation.
 14.
Who do you think calls the best games. I use to like JP White for play by play.
You have got to be kidding??? First of all, JP White was never a PA (public address announcer). He was a radio announcer(play-by-play, and that's being very liberal). Second, JP was not a good play-by-play man. He never could keep up with the game. Basketball was the worse. He stayed 3 to 4 trips up and down the floor behind, consistantly. He was more interested in telling everyone who was attending them game than actually doing the play-by-play. I will admit though, he was one of a kind. First and only person that I know that broadcast a fire live on the radio. He broadcast the Silsbee Automotive fire, even stated during the fire and I quote, "and this fire is brought to you by (insert sponsor)......" If I hadn't been standing next to him, I would have never believed he had said that. A PA is who you here announcing at football stadiums. As for Silsbee, Billy Barclay is my all-time favorite, but Silsbee has a good one right now in Alan Sanford.
 15. Thoughts and prayers to the Foreman family and all of Mustang land, particularly you Toby. This just doesn't seem fair.
 16. To me, high school sports has never been about just winning and losing. It's about teaching. Do I want my school to win? YOU BETCHA!! But not at all costs. IMO, teaching the athlete is far more important than winning the game. This is what a coach should truely be measured by.
 17. By helping his/her players to be the best they can be, on and off the field.
 18. If you were Jeremy, would you want people saying he was a "bad luck charm" and telling him to stay away? ;) ::)
 19. The 18 games that will be played at the Drum in Austin on March 10-12, 2011. Got to keep my streak going. I have now attended the last 39 state tourneys, looking to make it 40 straight. Also have broadcast games there the last 3 years. Hopefully at least one of our area teams will be participating. ;)
 20.
HF has no talent in basketball. They are better off not even putting a team together.
You obviously have no clue as to what is going on down in the rice fields. HF will have a promising team in the near future. Still probably a couple of years away, but they did get a "move-in" this year that will help. ;)
 21.
Just curious sleepy where did you do that at?  i know some of the experts on here have never done that at that
Which "experts" are you talking about?
 22.

My mistake, Tiger05. I simply overlooked the "3A/2A/1A" title. With that said, I still say HJ is better than Spurger, WOS and Anahuac.
I know that HJ would beat Spurger and Anahuac but I dont see them going as far as them in the Playoffs which is how my list is listed  ::)
That is how you have it now after you changed the post to "state picks". Your original post was just ranking the teams 1-5, which I disagreed on.
 23.
Exactly sleepy. And that's why those of us on this board care about where he decides to go. But some don't get that. Anyway I hope Aggies keeps pretending he is Chris Mortensen reporting whether Favre is coming out of retirement. (Granted much much much smaller scale) :D
I am not pretending to be anyone, but I get your point ForeverADog. ;) ;D

 25.

It don't matter if you can't win with talent.
I guess thats what happend last year when Ozen played Silsbee from what everybody else thinks
Last year was last year. Ozen lost one significant player from last year's team, they still have their top 3 scorers back from last year. Silsbee lost both starting '6"7 posts and their leading scorer in Hill. I still like Silsbee's chances of beating Ozen, but as far as talent is concerned, got to go with Ozen this year. Tiger05, not watching anyone's back. Just calling it like I see it. You may need to take those maroon colored glasses off. ;)
