They do have a 3A-1A tourney going on here with some 3A's playing, including #18 state ranked Pleasant Grove, but Silsbee wanted to play in the big school part of the tourney.

The first day of the Sherman ISD Holiday Classic will have the #6 state ranked Silsbee Tigers taking on the San Antonio Southwest Dragons in the first game for each team in pool play. Silsbee (10-4), #2 in this week's SETX Dirty Dozen poll, is making their first ever appearance in the Sherman tourney. This is the first ever meeting between these two school. Broadcast will start 10 minutes prior to tip off which is scheduled for 4:30pm.
