2.
SP by 2
This prediction by CATMAN has dropped his status in basketball knowledge to the basement! Unless Big Sandy has lost their entire starting lineup along with key backups, this will be an easy win for Big Sandy. Maybe CATMAN knows something about the status of Big Sandy's team aka grades or discipline, that we are not privy to.

I know AAW couldn't resist!!!  ::) ::) ::)
If you have noticed (obviously you haven't ::)) I have always put the SETXsports rankings in the title of the game broadcasts. LAZEEK puts the state rankings in his HJ broadcast titles. Go back and check them. ;) ::) DA
That's probably the best assessment I've heard so far regarding 'The Game'. Simple and to the point. Not losing for 27 straight games gives one the feeling of being invincible. The kids would probably not agree with me, but that loss was good for them so they realize that they CAN be defeated. Some HJ fans have said this too. Not that they were arrogant, IMO, but this WILL get them refocused as Bullets said. Good luck to [s]both[/s] all 3 teams, since y'all finally believe me when I said last month that WO-S was legit!  ;D
I've known that WOS is very legit for quite sometime. Seen them play many times this season, since back in first week of Dec. They are a very good team with a very good coach.
They were playing short-handed in the YMBL and Bulldog Classic, and it showed. MOST people were ignoring them, claiming they were not good, and said HF or OF will prob capture 3rd in that district. They are a completely different team now, and it showed against Ned, PAM, and Silsbee. They will be a tough 'out' once the playoffs begin. BTW, AAW-Which district matches up against 21-3A in the 1st round of the playoffs?
22-3A Coldspring Cleveland Splendora This is who I think will be the playoff teams out of that district, in that order.
Have not seen CS play, can or will WO-S/HF beat them?
They may not have to play them. 1st place team get's a bye. #2 plays #3 from each district in Bi-District round. I have seen all three of those teams play. Coldspring is very good, good enough to give HJ and Silsbee all they can handle. Coldspring is a better team than WOS and HF.

Looking at the JV, Fresh, and 8th grade team, why would anyone suggest that it will be over soon? Not to mention that 4 starters are underclassmen, as well as 4/5 of the 2nd team. Don't be raining on our parade BD3!  ;D
I saw Central's freshmen team dismantle the Nederland freshmen team by 20 and Central has 4 freshmen on varsity, which 3 actually start! Future is very bright at Central, not just Nederland.
WOS varsity has played Jasper twice this year, winning both games, 74-63 and 66-59. Jasper did play WOS JV in a tournament game, winning 70-67. WOS has a very good JV team.
 13. A buzzer beating, just inside the half court line, game winning 3 pointer over the #1 ranked team in the state on your home court and we are judging how these "kids" reacted and claiming the other team would not have acted that way. Get real!! ::) Nobody knows how HJ or any other team would have reacted in that situation. I realize a few of the kids got carried away but WOW, didn't know we needed to be so critical about their obvious knee jerk reactions to a game winning shot.
 14. What a difference a year makes!! Last year, Class 4A Region III was all about Galveston Ball and LaMarque. These two teams stayed in the top 5 in the state rankings all season, battled each other in district play and then met up in the Regional championship game where LaMarque advanced on to the state title game before losing to Dallas Kimball. This year, they both have a combined record of 5-39!!! (Ball 3-19, LM 2-20) Wow!! How the mighty have fallen!!

 22. PN-G ex Doty ready to join LU basketball Anonymous The Port Arthur News The Port Arthur News Wed Jan 18, 2012, 06:40 PM CST PORT ARTHUR — BEAUMONT — Lamar University’s basketball team added one player and subtracted one during its semester break. The new face at Cardinals basketball practice will be Brennan Doty, a former basketball/football star at Port Neches-Groves. Doty, is transferring to Lamar, after spending the fall semester as a preferred walk-on quarterback with the University of Oregon’s Rose Bowl champions. Leaving the Cardinals program is backup point guard Tre Lynch, who is academically ineligibile to continue playing. Lynch, a 6-0 sophomore point guard from Lancaster, was averaging 3.5 point and 1.1 assists. He had participated in all 18 games this season, had started once and was averaging 12.1 minutes of playing time. As a freshman, Lynch played in 10 games and averaged 1.3 points. He had been a 4A All-State player as a senior at Lancaster. The 6-3 Doty, meanwhile, is joining the Cardinals as a walk-on. He was the offensive player of the year in District 20-4A last season, after averaging 19 points and six rebounds, and leading PN-G to its first playoff berth since 1989. He was also the main man for the Indians football team, leading them to the playoffs both his junior and senior seasons. He was selected the Most Valubable Player on the Port Arthur News 2010 Super Team. “Brennan came by practice last week, visited with us and told us he’d like to transfer to Lamar and join the basketball team as a walk-on,” said Cardinal coach Pat Knight. “We did some checking, got some excellent reports and told him he’d be welcome.” -- Bob West
 23.
I apologize we only defeated .666% of them.  Along with #4 Crockett , ranked Hitchcock at the time, #12 Grapeland 1A 1. Goodrich and Splendora did edge us out in the second week of the season.  Guys we just knock them down lower so you can move up a little.
Uh, Crockett, Hitchcock and Grapeland are not ranked in our Dirty Dozen poll.(they do not qualify for our poll because not considered an area team we cover) So Trinity has only defeated East Chambers and Big Sandy in our Dirty Dozen poll.
 24. I was only referring to the small school Dirty Dozen poll and I believe davott was too.
