We will have two local guys in this week's PGA Tour stop in San Antonio. Chris Stroud will be playing but also Orange's Michael Arnaud will be teeing it up this week on the PGA Tour for the very first time. Arnaud Monday qualified for the VTO winning a spot in a 6-man playoff birdieing the 5th playoff hole. Arnaud is a former WOS player and currently plays on the Adams Tour and some Nationwide events. He also has played over the last few years the Silsbee MGA Invitational, placing in the money every time. ;D Looking forward to possibly seeing Michael in Silsbee in June, of course unless he has bigger and better opportunities. Good luck this week to Chris and Michael!!!
What does skin color have to do with him becoming, the head coach 0f the 2012 State champions, you take that to your good source.
Hey, I am only repeating what "some" folks who are "in the know" said about the situation. ;) As far as I am concerned, it shouldn't be an issue but that doesn't mean it won't be for a certain "few". ;)

Decello is a good basketball coach. Curious to see how he "meshes". ;)
Silsbee used all of their pitchers vs Orangefield so they won't be that deep. Lemoine is well rested. BC has outscored opponents 27-0 in there past two games. They win at home 7-3
Silsbee's #1 Lance Brown did not pitch against Orangefield, Colby Jenkins pitched just 1 inning, Justin Flowers pitched 3 innings and Tyler Powell hasn't pitched since April 1st. Silsbee will have plenty of pitching for the Cards, mainly Brown. -
I heard from a good source that some of the players questioned his skin color. ;) Decello will bring hard discipline to the program. Question is, will "some" of the players accept it? ;)

Also, in regards to "all 1A's" having to face the same thing, Hull-Daisetta was the only school in Evadale's basketball district that went to the football playoffs, and they lost in first round. Big Sandy, who is in Evadale's basketball district, doesn't even play football. -

Nederland did start practicing basketball on the first day of practice and did not have to delay their start to the season. Evadale could not start basketball practice because every single player for them played football and their football season did not end till December. Evadale did not get to play their first game till the 2nd weekend of December and that was only after 1 day of practice.
Educate me here, but don't most 1a schools (who have a FB program) go through similar scenarios? I'm guessing MOST 1a kids play both sports??
That is why I was stating that comparing the two is apples and oranges. No one was comparing Evadale to another 1A. -

I really don't think anyone is argueing that Brian should not be COY, but don't belittle what Laurance has done at Evadale and don't say he is hating on Nederland because that is not the case. It just sounded like this manager dude has a personal axe to grind with Coach L and has nothing to do with who should be COY.
