But clearly not enough time to judge those things. Anyways...how well are the lower levels in Crosby.
Just curious, who is "us"? BTW, not sure how the lower levels are in Crosby but I did get to see the varsity first hand last season as I broadcast their playoff game against Vidor. Varsity had great size and speed (Crosby's receiving corp was unbelievably big and athletic, all of them '6"3 or bigger) but just couldn't understand why they chose to line up in a 3-3-5 defense against Vidor's slot T offense. Vidor just ran through them with no problems, particularly the right side. The more talented team (Crosby) definitely got beat by the harder working team (Vidor).
 2.

We have changed our starting linup as well.  We didn't start the 3 freshmen in the first 3 games (Very good players), so Ozen will be getting a different look as well. Lazeek, didn't Ozen play Nederland pretty tight in their meeting in Nederland?  I think they led majority of the game.
Yep, but who got the runaway win.  WOS played HJ close for almost 3 quarters. 8) 8) 8)
Runaway win? Ned beat Ozen 45-39. ;)
 3.
What all does Crosby have coming back?  I know Coach Riordan will get the most out of the Cougars and He will also be a great asset to the community there. I heard him speak at a clinic and He is very intelligent and passionate. Good Luck Coach Riordan. Crosby got a great one.
Just by hearing him at a clinic you can say he is very intelligent and passionate and will be a great asset to the community? Just what clinic was this?
Will  beat either one of them.
Shows how little beechnut knows about high school basketball. ::) Coldspring is good, but not good enough to beat HJ or Silsbee.
Problem is, you haven't seen any one of the three teams play this year. ;) ::)

 9. Todd and I could really use some help in keeping the spammers banned off the site. The spam accounts have really picked up again over the last week like it was back in the summer. It's going to take more than just he and I to keep them off the site. PLEASE HELP US OUT!!!! Thank you.
 10. 55.5 hours till next game.
 11.
Wow, huge upset indeed!  This loss should prove to everyone that the indians are just not nearly as skilled as they have been in the past. This should bring them back down to the reality that they are extremely beat able and so is anybody else in the distirct.  Coaching, or lack there of will always get questioned in cleveland especially when you have 3 headed monsters on the team, but it aint like he got out coached by Rice.  It will be interesting to see how this indian team will repond.  Nice job longhorns!
Disagree. No team will beat Coldspring in district play.

 15.
Ok, let me get this straight...  Since the dunkometer showed 1-1, and since WO-S's showed on TV, then does that mean that the media felt like the dunkothon was slightly tipped in WO-S's favor?
Both dunks were on the TV highlight reel. Saw them myself.

Unless Big Sandy has lost their entire starting lineup along with key backups, this will be an easy win for Big Sandy. Maybe CATMAN knows something about the status of Big Sandy's team aka grades or discipline, that we are not privy to.
My status in basketball knowledge is in the basement hun. :) :) :) :) :)
You did pick Sabine Pass to win and they lost by 8. ;)
 18.

I like Silsbee's set up. One whole side for the visitors, one whole side for the Tiger fans. (775 per side). Now, question is, will that be the same when the Tigers visit HJ? ;)
HJ has many fans that sit on the visitors side of the gym.  Always have, and always will.
So, since Silsbee was accommodating to HJ fans by not allowing Silsbee fans to sit on the visitor side in the HJ game (some Silsbee fans do sit on the visitor side in other games), you are stating that HJ will not be so accommodating when Silsbee comes to town?? Interesting.......
Nothing interesting you pot stirrer....I know for a fact that this year and last year there were silsbee fans sitting on both sides of the gym...
To my knowledge, all Silsbee fans were moved to the "home" side of the gym this year. There were some that sat over there last year though. I spoke with the Silsbee school officials before and after the game about that subject. They said no Silsbee fan would be allowed to sit on the east side (visitor side) and after the game, I was told that was the case. They actually moved a few fans right before and just after tip off. Just going by what those school officials told me.
 19. There is an argument to include 23-2A in our coverage area, but for now, it will stay on the edge. We invite any and all talk about any of the teams in 23-2A (Anderson-Shiro, Centerville, Crockett, Groveton, New Waverly, Onalaska and Trinity). Come playoff time, this district matches up with our two local districts, 22-2A and 24-2A, so it's good to get to know these teams in advance.
 20. Also, Lamar shot 82% from the field in the 2nd half!! That has to be a school record for a half!
 21. Lamar scored 62 points in the 2nd half!!!
 22.
Just wondering how are these teams not under the umbrella? Onalaska is right across the lake from Livingston and Trinity is not that far either.
Mainly because they play in a district that we do not consider to be an SETX district.
 23.
Forgive my semantics.  Basically you have some excellent teams in your area that you cover well.  Although we are on the fringes of your coverage we play many of your teams, some losses some wins.  Just trying to get our name in the conversation.
I am all for getting more teams into our "umbrella". I know about Trinity and look forward to any and all talk in regards to that team. We have to draw the line somewhere, sadly some get left out. I just felt that your post stating Trinity and New Waverly had beaten most of the teams in the Dirty Dozen poll was very inaccurate.
