Miller's enrollment of 910 put them in 3A but CCISD wanted all it's schools to stay in 4A so they had checked the box in the realignment of 2010 to opt up. Miller complained they could not compete at the 4A level anymore and wanted the "higher ups" at CCISD to allow them to drop down to 3A where their enrollment put them. They petitioned and won. Miller's enrollment for this past Feb. realignment will put them back in 4A starting in the fall. CCISD did some re-zoning which put more students in the Miller High school. Academics have improved there so the enrollment has increased. You cannot opt down in classification, but you can opt up.

1st day in the books!! Clarksville and Mumford will play for the 1A DI title Argyle and Corpus Christi Miller will play for the 3A title Dallas Kimball and Houston Yates will battle for the 4A championship I'll be back here tomorrow morning bright and early at 7:30am to get set up for the 2A semifinals.

Final Denton Ryan            67 Houston Yates          87 Yates to play Kimball for all the 4A marbles Saturday at 3:30pm!!

This has been a very boring and anticlimactic game. Yates has committed 26 fouls in this game, still lead 81-60 with 2:15 left.
