HISD knew that they could have their own 3A district which would help in the travel. That was the reason for those schools always opting up in the past because they did not want to be stuck in a district outside the loop. But, from what I was told, Yates actually thought their numbers would keep them 4A so they did not check the box. After the fact, some admins at Yates wanted to appeal but HISD said no. From what I have been told, Yates will be back in 4A next realignment no matter what their enrollment is.
Sooner or later someone is going to score on WOS.  I don't think that BC will win, but WOS is due an off game, and Bridge City has a team that is capable of making this a close game.
Based on what I have seen, no they don't.

 8.
What's the historical perspective of back to back undefeated district championships in SETX.  Dogs about to do it, just wondering where this puts them in relation to the WOS, Newton... etc dynasties of SETX.  Funny that not too long ago, everyone held the lack of a district championship over Neumann's head... now the guy hasn't lost in over 2 seasons and will win 2 straight.
Well, just speaking on recent history, since WO-S dropped down to 3A in '04, they have won 7 of 8 district championships, going undefeated in district in 7 of those seasons. Including this season, the Mustangs have only lost 1 district game since dropping to 3A. The only loss was to Silsbee in '09 when Silsbee went undefeated in district. Also recently, Evadale has had a string of district championships which I believe is at 5 straight, all undefeated.
 9.
Ec,hardin, and Anahuac should make playoffs.. those prep schools are horrible
Not Southeast. They have a pretty good team.
 10.

Wos do not have the best D in the state get off the hype you haven't played anyone yeah coldspring lost to LCM let me see them do it twice but but shut out a good team then ill put yall in the conversation you won't make it to state coldspring la marque navasota are simply better teams so stop the hype i know wos fans are going to have a lot to say but i don't care you haven't played a good team yet so STOOOOOP dang y'all had the same hopes last year. And we ended yall SEASON
Dude...really??? First, Just focus in class tomorrow and stay off the board..obviously you need it VERY badly. Second, do well in practice tomorrow and keep winning. You might get your chance to face the 'Stangs again. Third, you have beat us ONCE, we have donkey stomped yall a few times. Third, We have been winning for 30 years, yall..3. Get a few more wins on us and maybe, maybe you can tell us how horrible WOS is. Lastly, good luck!
Actually, Coldspring currently has a 2 game win streak over WO-S. Coldspring won 41-36 in 2009 Bi-District and then last year in Regional semis 35-13. Back to the article, I think the jest of it was simply that WO-S has given up the fewest points of any team in any classification across the state so far in the season. If that considers them the best in state, so be it. Bottom line, WO-S has a great defense and there is no denying that fact.
