And yes jordan was great, but idc what people say Kobe is up there with Jordan!
But you cannot use that in your argument. Those players are not on the team, so therefore they cannot be considered in the argument as to what team would win. The argument is '92 vs. '12, not '92 vs. potential '12.

I am hoping to be broadcasting a local team (preferably Silsbee) at the state tourney this coming season. This past tourney broke a string of 5 straight years of SETXsports broadcasting a local team or teams at the state tourney. Although I did get to enjoy this past tourney from press row the entire time. Very cool.
The things people do to get a free ride  ;D
Trust me, there's nothing free about broadcasting at the state tourney. ;)
 3.
Hopefully Barbay and staff can build on the foundation Morgan laid last year. That offense was very good! They ran the ball however and whenever they wanted. The play action passing game was very explosive and fun! We will see...
That's debatable. Didn't do it against Silsbee. Their offense over the past several years has been fine. It's the Jasper defense that hasn't been very good over the last several seasons. Not the typical Jasper defense that I have been accustomed to seeing over the years.
 4. I plan on making the trip up to Jasper for a BBQ lunch on that Thursday. I am willing to take some orders if anyone wants to meet me either in Silsbee or Beaumont or both.
By the #of spectators @ Jerry Word for the finals I believe each team gets a decent % share of revenue which makes replay affordable.Bet lawyers had a field day w/replay of a unmanned golf cart running over officials, staff, coaches ;)
Like I said, to have instant replay in the championship games is fine. Those stadiums are already set up for video and Fox SW televises those games. But to suggest that all playoff games in every classification have instant replay is ludicrous.
 7.

USA defense has been pathetic in this game.
Is it against the International rules to full court press?  Why don't they play 40 min of heck, run and gun and sub 5 players at a time after every few minutes?  They have the athletes and they wouldn't have to play half court defense.
It's not against the rules but I doubt any of these guys have played a full court trapping press since high school. The ball handlers at this level, even the European countries, are just too skilled to let a press bother them. Would mostly result in easy baskets for the opposition. USA shooting quick 3's and not moving the ball around helped Lithu control the ball on offense. They were patient, worked the ball inside, and they shot very well. Litho played great half court defense something the USA team needs to get better at.
 8. USA wins 99-94. Wake up call!!!!
 9. USA defense has been pathetic in this game.
 10.
Don't worry BG, one missing from your stable won't make a difference on your state championship team this year. Not going to mention the kids name cause most from PA move back immediately when they can't cut the academics at Ned. He just made the jump this summer so if all goes well he will be wearing black and gold for the first time this fall. Come out for 2-a-days and see for yourself. I'll be there will you?  8)
Well, since the young man was not enrolled at Ned this past spring, he will have to sit out the required 15 days before he can suit out on Friday nights, which would put him missing the first 3 games. Unless of course he did not get signed off by the PAISD, then he may have to sit out the whole year.
 11.
Guys, about 5% of these teams run questionable programs (agents...etc, etc...)and this is what the critics focus on. Just like there are high schools out there running not-so-clean programs.
I'll take Vitale's word (one that comes from a man with far more experience and knowledge of the subject).

It is easy for them to do that because all of the finals are played in the same venue. Now if you would have asked should all the football state championship games have instant replay, then I might would say yes.
Im pretty sure in recent years if there was Instant Replay in the playoffs a few teams wouldnt have gotten past the 1st or 2nd round on their way to a state title. Agree to disagree.  ;)
But you are obviously not being sensible. It is just not realistic to think you could implement instant replay in every stadium that hosts a playoff game from the 1st round to the semifinals in every classification. Who is going to pay for that kind of upgrade and who will pay the folks to run it?
with the money hungry UIL anything is possible.
You just proved my point.
