Looking for Cardinal Softball Info. on fall Softball season?
I recommend you visit Lamarcardinals.com. They should have some info that you may need. We will try to get some ourselves but high school football is taking precedent for us staff members.

According to my sources, those freshmen will be attending Central.

If this is suppose to be 4A Region III only, then why is La Marque and Yates listed?

I was there, saw plenty of those games. Can't say I made all of those games in '97 and '98 (work and raising two sons ages 6 and 3 at the time, kept me from making all the games). I worked shift work during that time (at Louisiana-Pacific particleboard mill just north of town) so couldn't make all the games. Funny, but I didn't pay much attention to who the manager was for those two teams. Sorry. Not sure what your point is with not seeing me at the games while you were in high school. Doesn't change the fact of what my current relationships are with the current coaching staff. BTW, I coached Chaney and Elam in Little League and Little Dribblers.
I dont thing they will aaw not this year.I would like for them to win dist but they want this year.
Well I am not picking the Lions to win district, but I fully expect them to make the playoffs. Are you saying that Livingston will lose to one or more of these teams: Lumberton, LCM, PNG and Vidor?

I am trying to set a scrimmage schedule to attend this Friday and Saturday. Need some of you to help verify what time and dates these scrimmages will take place: Orangefield @ Vidor (is this scrimmage scheduled for 8am Friday?) West Hardin, Legacy @ Kountze (is it still Friday at 4:30pm?) Deweyville, Kirbyville @ Hamshire-Fannett (is it still at 11am on Saturday?) Anahuac @ Buna (what time and is it on Saturday?) Hull-Daisetta scrimmage (not sure what time, date and team they are scrimmaging) Please post if you know for certain. I am trying to make as many scrimmages as possible those two days.

Don't think he knows the kid I'm referring too. Aggie doesn't know everyone in Silsbee or the Golden Triangle area.
I may not know everyone in Silsbee (though I think I have a better grasp on the community than you do) but I have a great relationship with the Silsbee coaching staff and I am quite sure I would have been told about some "new editions" by now.
What because you subscribe to the local Silsbee Bee? You have a great relationship with them. Well let's just say I speak to them more than you and you live there. Partner!
Since you want to go there and challenge me on a personal level about who I know and don't know, I'll start with this: I have lived in Silsbee most my 48 years (give or take a few for college). I have established many relationships over the years here in Silsbee, including many on the Silsbee coaching staff. I currently have a professional relationship with Silsbee ISD and it's coaching staffs going on 8 years now, let alone the personal relationships I have with them for many more years. I have known the AD for many years, the football OC is my next door neighbor, play poker with the head baseball coach, and several of the Silsbee coaches (head softball, assistant football, assistant basketball) have currently or have taught my youngest son Reid, who has autism. Right now, Coach Collins (assistant basketball) is my son's paraprofessional at the high school. Both he and Coach Brooks live or have lived next to my parents. We have all created special relationships through either my son, my job, or other avenues. I know what kind of relationships I have with the Silsbee coaches and it's good enough for me. Now, I really did not want to bring this up but I have to question how much of a relationship you have with the Silsbee coaching staff. You see, I have had conversations with Coach Sigler, Coach Brooks, and Coach Collins about you. They have asked me who this BadSanta character is on the site. I told them you said you were a manager on the '97 and '98 teams. None of them remembered who you were. Even Coach Sigler who just came back this past year and was the head coach in '97 and '98, approached me about you on this site and he did not remember who you were even after I told him your name. So I have to wonder about your relationships with these guys. Do I speak with these guys on a daily basis? No. But I am pretty sure I speak with these guys regular enough to satisfy my belief in that I speak to them more than you do. ::)
Silsbee will finish in third place this year..... a three-peat if you will. BC isn't looking to drop down quite yet.
Not happening. BC's two year win streak over Silsbee will end this season and Silsbee will finish at least runner up.
Even AggieRWE knows it true. Some stuff he can't comment on because of his job but I also know people who work for the UIL. You guys have tried to blow the whistle on several local schools.
No, I do not know it's true. As for these "new editions" you speak of, I know of no transfers other than the young man who played JV last year. There may be a couple freshmen who make varsity, but they have been in the Silsbee school system for years. No need to be making any calls on them. Honestly, I don't see them making the varsity team but they did play with the varsity in summer ball.
I have heard that Collins from Livingston may graduate early and enroll at Baylor? for football. If so that will hurt Livingston in basketball. Does anyone know for sure if he will play basketball for Livingston this year?
I personally spoke with Chevoski at the Silsbee summer tourney. He told me he was looking forward to playing basketball for Livingston this year. He looked really good in the summer tourney.

I`m telling you, WOS is going to win this game, no doubt about it.
Game or scrimmage?
Silsbee v Newton would be called a "SCRIMMAGE". Nederland v WOS will be called a "WAR". "HOW BOUT THEM APPLES".
::) Funny, you and one other Stang fan is calling the Ned/WOS scrimmage a "game, war", while most other real, sensible WOS fans are just calling it a scrimmage. I see no Nederland fan calling this scrimmage "more" than what it really is, just a scrimmage. -
Apparently, we still have some loyal WOS fans that are a little PO after last years loss to NED. Anybody coming into a scrimmage who's worried about the score or win, by your terms, doesn't know much about football. I could see a team that was 0-10 last year might be more concerned about the score for confidence reasons, but that is as far as I will go. Hey AAW, I guess we all understand Coop's logic now. When a team doesn't have 2nd stringers I can see how they always have 25 - 30 starters returning every year. Go figure. ;D
LMAO!!!! Good point! -
Put money where your mouth is cowboy! Why isn't he on the tour if he is so great? I just don't understand your reasoning behind that. Oh he is busy coaching HJ football? Oh he is busy winning local tourneys. The dude is good! It's great you hold his jock they way you do. What about YOU STEVENASH? What are you good at? Typing? Calling Badsanta for " illegal favors", or is it chewing and turning the channel at the same time?
That first comment makes me laugh considering you still owe me $1000 from a previous bet. ::) -
Wasn't he by a cart path? Was he out of bounds or is that considered a hazard?
He was inside a red line marking a lateral water hazard. Not allowed to ground club and not allowed to move loose objects.
Concerning the second stringers comments...WO-S does have second and third string teams. Having 30 or less players doesn't change that. They have some players not in silver helmets who will be evaluated on the varsity level. Plus, they have players who will play in positions they normally do not play in order to grade them, as well. To the coaches for both teams, this is all about grading their teams progress and individual players. Nothing more, nothing less. I know for a fact that is true for Coach Thompson. No game planning or Friday night strategy will be involved. Therefore, any "score" will not matter at all. A few comments on here make too big of a deal about this scrimmage. When I think of scrimmages, I'm reminded of the 2000 season when Lumberton got the better of WO-S in the first scrimmage of the year. It was a wake up call for the Mustangs. If the two teams had played in the regular season, WO-S would have manhandled the Raiders. But the scrimmage did what it is supposed to. It motivated the players and helped the coaches evaluate the team's progress and what needed to improve.
Excellent post, griff. As for the "couple of comments", I believe both have come from a "Coopish" Mustang fan. ;) -
WO-S doesnt do controlled scrimmages, They do game like scrimmages were the score is kept, only thing different is they dont do live kick-offs and punt returns.. And even if it was controlled fans and coaches still keep score! Only fans and or coaches of a losing/un-successful program say things like "hey guys its just a scrimmage there isnt a score" Last year in the Vidor Scrimmage WO-S won with a last second field goal. Vidor was keeping the score and the time on the scoreboard
Until the UIL records scrimmages as actual wins and losses on a school and coach's record, then there is no such thing as winning or losing a scrimmage, game type or not. Out performing, looking better, playing better, these are phrases that I think are fair for fans to use in describing their team's performance in a scrimmage. Not win or lose. -
