Not to mention the pm you sent me a while back questioning about Tatum.
OK pal. You hate me, fine. Have at it, AAW. As for the PM, you took it totally wrong. Besides that, I keep EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY PM I get in total confidence, as a courtesy to all. I see YOU can't be trusted to extend that same courtesy, AAW. Go figure.
No hate involved at all. Just coming to the defense of someone somewhat ridiculing on the sites coverage of schools. You obviously have some sort of problem with the what this site considers it's coverage area or you would not have brought up the A&M Cons. or Aledo players in the conversation. Then named some other schools in a rebuttal with TV. BTW, how was I suppose to take that pm?
 9.

Cliff Groce from A&M Consolidated and Johnathan Gray from Aledo.
What part of  SE Texas don't you understand?
Pretty sure almost anyone anywhere in TX might be included under the SETX "umbrella" at this point. San Augustine is in and Tatum is almost in now. Hence my post. Get it? My comprehensional abilities are more than fine, thanks.
So this wasn't a sarcastic commentary on the teams we cover here at SETXsports? Not to mention the pm you sent me a while back questioning about Tatum. TV's question was in regards to your post about the running backs from Aledo and College Station, which are not SETX teams. So why make that post in this thread?
 10. US Women win their second pool play game defeating Angola 90-38. They will face Turkey in their next pool play game
 11. A little bit better so far in the US women's 2nd game. Up at the half over Angola, 41-18.
 12.
As far as this site and discussion is concerned, yes. Now before you scoff, realize that Iola and Anderson Shiro are definitely in the College Station area. Look it up for yourself. Aledo? It depends. Carthage, Center, and Grapeland are now included, perhaps Aledo in the near future. Personally, I define SETX as south of 190 from Jasper to Livingston, and east of 59 and 146.
Those schools are only previewed based on them being in districts with some of our SETX teams. They will not be included in any of our rankings. Those schools are not considered to be Southeast Texas schools by this website. I'll let the man who did those awesome previews explain to you why he did those previews that way. A&M Consolidated and Aledo are not SETX schools. You know it but seem to have a burr in your saddle about our coverage here on the site so you are obviously trying to be a smart you-know-what about it.
 13. Game will be streamed live tonight at FoxsportsHouston.com. [Hidden Content]
 14.
Cliff Groce from A&M Consolidated and Johnathan Gray from Aledo.
Uh, again, the title of thread was about southeast Texas running backs. ::)
 15. US won 2nd set 25-17. Now up 2 sets to 0.
 16. Women playing powerful Brazil today. USA won first set 25-18. Currently lead 4-3 in 2nd set.
 17. Listening to TSRN's live broadcast this morning from the Texas High School Coaches Association coaching school and listened to an interview of Coach Wise. TSRN's Lynn Michaels asked Wise if he thought he would have an easier route to a state championship now that they have dropped to 3A. Wise replied by stating they still had to deal with Houston Jones who also dropped down and a few other Region III teams. Michaels asked what other region teams in particular and Wise said, "Silsbee comes to mind along with some others. We will have to still work for it." The conversation then went to summer basketball and the coaching school. Interesting...... little surprised he even knew about Silsbee. ;) Here is the link to TSRN's broadcast for the remained of the morning and this afternoon: [Hidden Content] Their morning broadcast will stop at noon. Afternoon starts at 1:15pm.
 18.
Earnest Ray "Bubba" Bean (Kirbyville) Anthony Byerly (Newton) Jamaal Charles (PAM)
Some great ones there.
 19. Sticking with just southeast Texas players (that is the title of the thread, but knew some would bring up other names), there have been many very good running backs from SETX, but not sure if you could call them great. Wooster, Byerly, Rodney Thomas of Groveton and maybe a couple of others could be considered great running backs. The best one game performance by a local running back that I have ever seen was by Silsbee's Jay McGuire in '93. He rushed for 464 yards and 6 TD's against Nederland. He had over 600 all-purpose yards that night. (rushing, receiving, returns).
 20. Bryan Webb is the new head baseball coach at Deweyville.
 21. USA men's team defeated France today 98-71 in Group A pool play. Only led 22-21 after first quarter, took game over rest of way. Over/under of average margin of victory for USA in Olympics, 23 1/2. I'll take under.
 22. I thought the women looked terrible in the first half, didn't deserve to have the letters "USA" on their uni's. Was quite embarrassing. I mean this is the first time Croatia has ever qualified for the Olympics and the US team defeated them soundly in a "friendly" just a week ago 109-55. Let's hope the gals start playing better basketball.
Capacity is 10,000. They added about 400 seats on the home side, semi horseshoe. When the stadium was built capacity was about 9500.
how many yall got on the visitor side? Please dont tell me yall stadium looks like Barbie's Hill now  :(
I would say it's 6000 homeside, 4,000 visitor.
