2.
Mr. Buddy, Kirbyville gonna do just fine. It sounds like everyone sleeping on dem Wildcats this year...smh bad idea!!
What happened to that bet you were throwing around? Scared?
 3. USA defeats Australia in the quarters 119-86. Australia only trailed by 6 halfway thru 3rd then US exploded!! Kobe was 6 of 10 from 3 for 20 points. Lebron had a triple double with 11 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists USA will face Argentina in the semis.
 4. [Hidden Content] That makes 4 area teams doing Midnight Madness Deweyville Evadale Vidor WO-S
 5.
Thats 7 hours doing the posted speed limits. Most yellow dogs have a max speed of 55-60mph no matter if they are new with a/c or older models. Wonder if they have enough backers to raise the money for a charter bus.
That's why I said a minimum of 7 hours round trip. With that maximum speed of 55-60 mph and having to stop at all RR crossings and maneuvering through towns, more like 8 hour round trip.
 6.
Geez he's already bigger than you know who from Silsbee.  ;)
Yes, as a junior, Patrick is bigger than you-know-who was as a junior. But not nearly as fast. ;)

Glad it's not me.  ;D
Particularly on a yellow dog. ;)
Yellow dogs are designed with AC and radios n cd players these days. It shouldn't be too bad.
7 hour round trip on a yellow dog, regardless of AC and radios, is bad. One trip I don't want to make.
 8. FYI, Coach Humberson wants everyone to know that his son has fully recovered from his injuries and is doing just fine. Anyone attending the benefit will see that for themselves. The benefit is to raise money to help with the medical bills that the Humberson's accumulated while their son was hospitalized. Coach Humberson appreciates and is very grateful for any and all help with the benefit and wants to invite all to the benefit but wants to make sure everyone knows that his son is fine and has fully recovered from his injuries.
 9. If any of you have ever seen Patrick's father, you would understand is growth spurt.  ;) I expect Patrick to grow some more, both mentally and physically, before he finishes his high school career.

Still doesn't change the fact that Jasper went 6-5, with 0 wins over a team with a winning record and the defense giving up over 33 points a game. But you claimed CH dominated everyone and setxguru was just disputing that with facts. Now you want to talk about CH's strength of schedule. ::)
LMAO !! GO GURU GO !! how bout this............guru u are right ..it was a bad year for the DAWGS .  one game over  .500 alot of schools would love to have but as u see at the bottom of each of my post(and those #s actually need updated for the past two seasons)  jasper ranks among the top in all classifications (1300 plus schools) so us DAWG fans lol at the haters when they jump on the chance to trash talk!!  LOL.  and the fact dont change that 15-0 they were....is that not a dominate year..... lol whatever ..........GO DOGS !!
dawg4life, you are beginning to sound like Hull-Daisetta fans with all that history talk. ::) Fact is, Jasper benefited from a very weak district last year and other than Carthage being in the district this year, will be another weak overall district. I believe Jasper will be better this year than they were last year, but that's not saying much. Barbay will eventually get those Dawgs back to playing Jasper type football before long.
 13.
I got money right now to put up that Kirbyville will beat all these teams in district. We will be solid on defense this year. I can't believe champion eagle pretty stating we're not gonna make the playoffs....LMAO
So, you are willing to bet Kirbyville will go undefeated in district. How much? Name your price.

 16. An excerpt from this article: Long before Allen boomed to its current population of 84,256 (according to the 2010 census) district officials decided to remain a one-high school town. The result is a high school with 5,388 students in grades 9-12, according to figures calculated by the University Interscholastic League, the organization that oversees public school sports and academic competitions in Texas. But that figure doesn't even make Allen the largest school in its six-team football district, 10-5A. Plano East is the largest school in the state with an enrollment figure of 6,016. Plano Senior High has an enrollment figure of 5,315 and Plano West has 4,945. In Texas, Class 5A schools have a minimum enrollment of 2,090 students. Most 5A schools have enrollments closer to McKinney High, the smallest member of Allen's district with 2,121. Allen's varsity football team has about 100 players. There are another 100 on the two junior varsity teams, and 256 boys have signed up to play freshman football this fall. All told, there are approximately 1,200 kids playing football from seventh grade on up. But that's just the football program.
 17.
Deweyville and Anderson(Shiro) have the same situation in Dist.10-2A DivII.
About a 1/2 hour shorter ride for Deweyville, but still a 6 hour round trip.
 18.

Due to Lumberton's field house construction, Lumberton's game with Barbers Hill on Sept. 7 will now be at Barbers Hill. This will give Lumberton just 4 home games, 6 away. Barbers Hill now has 6 home games. Next year's game between these two teams will be in Lumberton. Lumberton will host their first home game the following week on Sept. 14 against Silsbee, providing the field house will be finished.
Who's the contractor on this job?
M. Y. Time Construction Co.
 19.
You think kountze could surprise a couple ppl?
Nope. Well, maybe if you consider them beating Shepherd and Hull-Daisetta a surprise. ;) They should beat Warren and maybe Hardin in district, but don't see them beating any of the other district teams. They may play Anahuac close.
 20. Looking on Mapquest, Sabine Pass will have at minimum a 3 1/2 hour (7 hour round trip) bus ride to their district game against Mt. Enterprise this year. Next year they will basically have the same bus ride when they visit Tenaha for a district game. Thankfully this is just a football district. Would hate to see this district in all the other sports.
 21. East Chambers 2nd, followed by a battle for 3rd between Kirbyville and Woodville.
 22.
Silsbee is looking for a game for Sept. 25th.  If your team is interested, send me a private message and we can set it up.
We (SETXsports) are looking for Silsbee's volleyball schedule. ;)
 23.

I feel their offense made great strides and with a young QB in Walker I like what I'm seeing from Jasper on the offensive side. If Jasper could get the defense back on track then watch out. You can't fix one thing and let another go bad and for the past couple of seasons I feel Jasper would be good on one side of the ball, but the other side of the ball drastically hurt the team
In that case i'd rather have a better Defense. Defense can score for you and stop the other team.
I agree. In the end the old saying is true, "Offense wins games, defense wins championships".
 24.
They better keep that QB healthy
That QB (Patrick Reed) has grown an inch and has added about 18-20 lbs. of muscle. '6"3  185 lbs. 4.6 I look for Reed to have a solid year leading up to next year his senior season.
