It's funny you mention that. Since I announced my "semi" retirement, I have had at least 6 other offers to do broadcasting, including a sideline reporter. Keep in mind these were all audio broadcasts, no video. Don't have the face for tv. As for Dipp, that was brutal. Very hard to watch. I thought the chick did ok with play by, Rex was terrible as a color guy.

Well, with these "so called" layoffs, looks as though things are costing them already. Unless these "layoffs" are political, which would not surprise me. It's very obvious that ESPN has a double standard.

The difference in the comparison you made is a grocery store or any other retail entity is in the private sector, while schools are part of the public, government sector that is paid for by taxpayers. A taxpayer has a right. Now, as far as I am concerned, the salaries are none of my concern. But, I would like to know how my school district is handling the money or in some cases mishandling the money that I and others pay into.

I stated one of the reasons, not the SOLE reason. That came from the horse's (Stump) mouth.

Nope, fact. Those were gifts that helped Crosby to a lead. Credit to them for keeping the lead. But 14.2 wanted to ignore that fact. Wanted to use the holding penalties as excuses for why Crosby didn't score 56. I pointed out that 16 of the 42 points that Crosby scored were "gifts" from Jasper. I personally believe the better team won. Just that Crosby is not 56-14 better than Jasper.

One thing I do not agree with is BISD making their HC's salaries the same. I am pissed if I have been a head coach for 10 years and being paid the same as a first year ever head coach in the same school district. To me, that's not right. It's one of the reasons why Stump left and a few others have left. Salary in those cases should not be the same.

I'm sorry, but when a team (Jasper) fumbles the opening kickoff (without any contact, muffed the kick) setting up the opponent (Crosby) at the 15, then fumbling (no contact, fumbled the pitch) on their 2nd play of their first possession, setting up Crosby at the 6, well the result is 13 points on just 21 yards of offense in less than 2 minutes of game clock. That's a gift.

The O-line played very well last year. I was there, saw it all. So, you're comment stating they were not good last year is not accurate.
