IMO (and I have voiced this to some on the Lumberton coaching staff) most, if not all, negative comments posted on here towards Lumberton are from folks who are scared Lumberton will or are already better than their teams. In their minds, it upsets their apple carts.

100% agree. After watching Jasper, Silsbee and WO-S play this season, IMO all three teams were overrated to start the season. Neither have looked to me like a top 5 4A DII team.

Let's make one thing for certain. Foster did not "lead" his team to the semifinals last year. He may have been the QB, but was not the leader. Foster's numbers last night: 4-18, 52 yards, 3 INT's On the season Foster has thrown for 8 TD's and 6 INT's and has fumbled 3 times. (9 total turnovers in 6 games) IMO, Foster has the job because Brisco just isn't ready yet. BTW, Briscoe asked to be moved down to JV because he wants to play QB. I had zero problem with Foster being the starter. I just would like to see Briscoe get some snaps.

In Barbay's defense, schedules are made every two years. He could not have scheduled Silsbee this year because of the two year agreements.

No. Barbay stopped scheduling Silsbee last year. They last played in 2017. In fact, Silsbee has won the last 5 of 6 against Jasper. That might had something to do with it along with a few other things.

But, the assistant coach/trainer/documentary, looks more damning than anything. He is not a full time employee of the MVISD and seems to have connections to the two players in question.
