You're probably right...I wasn't paying attention when they were talking about the time.......
All I know is that WH is going to have their hands FULL with WS's Lacey. She averages 22pts. 11reb. 5ast. 4stl. and 2blks. a game from the post position. I cover WS for the Sabine County Reporter and have got to watch her play. She is one of the hardest workers on a team full of hard workers. Who does the winner of this game have in Rd. 2? Haven't seen the brackets yet....

WS F TyShun Bennett had a monster game with 33 points and 12 rebounds, not to mention the three rim-rocking dunks he had in the fourth quarter. The win, combined with San Augustine defeating Zavalla, puts the Tigers firmly in second place in 23-2A.

Interesting district WS is in. Could be a bi-district matchup vs. SA or Shelbyville in the offing....
-
The Lady Tigers are now 7-0 in District 23-2A and 21-4 overall on the season. Lacey for WS is a double-double machine every night game in, game out. Averaging 22pts. 10 reb. 4 ast., 2blks. and 2 stls per game and has yet to foul out of a game this year. Just a scrappy bunch that just get after it on both ends...

Wow. Just wow....... Think the '27 Yankees have been resurrected as a 2A Texas HS b-ball team......

Yep. 56-20 WS. Check out the stats for Demarie Smith RB WS on another post. Think he is offensive POW or at least in the running....

West Sabine will no doubt start off slowly, as they have four key players (Demarie Smith, Blake Ponder, Dillon Sepulvado and CJ Williams) still in basketball season. I feel that once WS gets going they will have one of the deepest pitching rotations in the district, if not the region in Class 2A. Region 3 will once again be a meat grinder, with at least three (if not more) top ten ranked squads (i.e. Harleton, Beckville, etc…). They will have to replace some key positions such as 1B and the outfield.
