Steven Avery reacted to Peppermint Patty in Texas A&M vs South Carolina predictions.
Might be the most accurate assessment to date. Aggies have never lost an SEC game because the SEC has never lost.
Look at me, I'm SEC! -

Is this counting the $300 million?
LHN was not marketed correctly, I admit, but we have one school vs. an entire conference. Nothing like having a level playing field huh? Ags having to thump someone else's chest.
Why don't Ags attempt an Aggie network, then get back to me on your success. -
Steven Avery reacted to rounder17 in tournament of stars/usa 18u tryouts
This is the one thing that burns my @$$ the most. "They" don't get scholarships for these kids. They provide an opportunity of playing in front of scouts. The kids are the ones who have to perform, and earn any scholarship they get. I can't stand when you hear organizations saying stuff like, we got this kid and this kid a scholarship here, as a recruiting pitch. Meanwhile, discounting all the countless hours of hard work and dedication the kids put into baseball to earn that scholarship. That's my biggest pet peeve with some organizations. -
Steven Avery got a reaction from IT'S IN THE BONE in tournament of stars/usa 18u tryouts
I understand that and totally agree with exposing your guys as much as possible. I don't agree with a having a "team" and then all of the sudden ray decides to fly in someone else to pitch instead of the guys on his team that have been with him all year. Again I understand from the players perspective, but from a team and parent perspective you have to see that the people that have been there for the long run getting shoved aside would not go over well. If you are just short pitching because you are on game 8 in 5 days in a huge national tourney ok but the banditos employ this every weekend big or small tourney just for the sake of posting another number on their website.

Steven Avery reacted to Critter in Huffman vs College Station
Huffman hasn't allowed more than 4 runs in a game all year..... That's some good ball right there. I think they have only allowed something like 40 runs in 31 games... That's a pretty good stat right there. CS is loaded with stars but Huffman plays TEAM ball. I think they take this series.

Steven Avery reacted to eagleswoodville#1 in WOS relationship with Texas
Actually, when you look at it from a "Texas" standpoint instead of a local fans, it was something they had to do. You can't offer a full athletic scharship to a kid that you aren't absolutely positive on. I agree that he's a great athlete, but me, as well as the Texas staff, aren't completely sure that he will be able to contribute to the team. That's why they've told him he needs to prove it to them. When and if he does that, he will get the scholarship he deserves. He's a great kid and a great football player. But when there are limits on how many scholarships you can hand out, coaches are very careful and concise when picking out recipients for these scholarships. Not everyone will be happy about it, but that's college football. By the way, Charlie didn't offer a scholarship to Shaw. Coach Brown did. When Charlie was evaluating his commitments, he decided to pull the scholarship because he wasn't 100% sure that Shaw could contribute as well as he needs him to. -
Steven Avery reacted to snafu in Ask MrUmp1 your rules question.
just out of boredom I went back to day 1 of this thread and started reading it all over again.... there are some good questions and answers... and some funny stuff also.... but Hats off to you Mr Ump you may not always see things the way I or anyone else sees them but as long as you call it the same for both sides you will only get a small bit of grief from me :-D on the serious side... thanks for all your time and energy in answering and digging up the answers for the questions you don't have the answer to.... and for all you wanna be from the stands rule experts ... until you have the balls to get behind the plate and make the call.... give the blues a break .... -

Price has struggled some since UH released him. He's working his way back mentally. Had a good weekend.
