I would like to also comment on the "sinking ship" contention. Yes, Mr. Obama is President.

However, the Republicans have had a substantial plurality in the Governorships across the country and had one before they took over last night in Maryland, Massachusetts, and Illinois which are three states that are about as Blue as possible.

I am sure last nights vote might make some minor changes, but up until then, the Republicans had a 28 to 17 advantage in control of state legislatures with the other 5 split.

No need to say much about the now Republican controlled senate because everyone is already aware of that.

The Republicans also added some more seats in the House of Representatives where they now have the largest control since World War II.

Perhaps "the war on women" and "you are a racist" are losing their effectiveness. Perhaps people are beginning to realize that every time the government gives you something, they have to take it away from someone else and the larger the "recipient" line becomes, the smaller the "productive giver" line becomes.

Maybe the electorate is saying that things such as the economy and jobs are more important than free contraception and changing the name of the Washington professional football team.

Well, first of all, they are allowing the police to do their job without running around looting and screaming for justice before they have any idea what has happened. And they also do not bring in "speakers" from the other side of the country to stir up more hatred.

I believe I have a better idea. Get the government out of the healthcare business. They suck at virtually every business they get involved in and I believe a lot more people have been harmed than helped by this entire fiasco, a word that does not adequately describe. The alleged $2500 premium reduction per family was/is a complete joke and has become, in reality, about a $3000-$4000 increase for the average family. That is the very same family that the President has continually said he is "fighting for". All that has happened with the VA is a classic example of the governments medical/business expertise. Additionally these problems are not unique to either party. In the great majority of cases, the government(regardless of who is in office) is inefficient, incompetent, and accountable to nobody and is therefore almost guaranteed to be a failure when attempting to manage a business.

Propaganda? If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it.
The premium for the average American family will DECLINE by $2500 annually.
a 10 trillion dollar debt is unpatriotic and irresponsible but a 17.5 trillion debt is somehow ok

This stuff is usually cyclical and I would guess that the girls will experience a return to prominence at some point in the future. Think about it Santa, it wasnt but two years ago that you were suggesting that HJ abandon its football program and here they stand undefeated and enjoying some state wide recognition.

Wrong- Mr. Obama is an absolute economic genius. Just as he said this is the most peaceful and tranquil time in our history, he has personally engineered a robust recovery. Only problem is, the middle class (for whom he claims to be the biggest advocate)has seen its income/purchasing power decline by more than ever before.

Goddard College retains a convicted murdered as a commencement speaker and Rutgers "disinvites" Condoleeza Rice as a commencement speaker. Is this a sign of "compassion" or "enlightenment" or are our values going down the drain?

Apparently I mishandled this one. I should have just copied and pasted the words and asked if anyone thought they were fallacious. However, we were recently warned about cutting and pasting, so I googled the first few words of the subject and took the first site that showed up. From my perspective, it doesn't matter where it was found, I thought the words were pretty meaningful.

How can he leave now. He has so many "investigations" over which he is presiding. Particularly the ones in which the President was "outraged".
